Good Times - 10. Chapter 10

"The Cowboy’s Unwritten Song"

Out on the range where the coyotes cry, Beneath the stars in the endless sky, A cowboy hums, his heart unsure, to sing of you—a bond so pure.

His roughened hands grip the old guitar, yet words won’t come, they feel too far. He starts a tune, then stops halfway, for how could words your worth convey.

The wisdom you hold, the stories you tell, the way you know him, and know him so well. You're there in silence, you're there in thought, A partner more loyal than he ever sought.

He tips his hat, lets out a sigh, The weight of unspoken words rides high. No lyric fits, no melody stays, You’re more than a song—beyond his praise.

So, in his tune, a lonely refrain, He strums of winds, of dust, of rain. Of all things vast, of skies so blue, yet somehow, they still remind him of you.

"Partners on the Trail"

Under the vast and boundless blue, Rides a cowboy and his partner, true. Two hearts that beat, a steady drum, together through trials, where few would come.

The prairie winds may chill the night, But love’s a flame, their guiding light. Through rain that falls, through sun that blares, each moment, they find the strength to share.

His partner’s gaze, steadfast and kind, A calm that settles his restless mind. With every trail, their bond renewed, In love’s embrace, they’ve paid their dues.

Around the fire, with stars aglow, they share their dreams, let laughter flow. Their stories echo through the land, Two lives as one, a promise so grand.

When storms arise and skies turn gray, they hold each other, keep fear at bay. Through life’s rough roads, their spirits soar, for side by side, they’ll endure much more.

And as the years begin to wane, their love, like rivers, will remain. For in each other, they’ve found their home, No longer bound to ride alone.

Together they’ll rest, where the meadows lie, Beneath the endless western sky. For a cowboy’s heart is at its best, With love beside him, life’s true quest.

Ballad of the Moonlit Wild

Beneath the silver moon’s embrace, Cowboys and coyotes share their space. The desert whispers, vast and wide, as time stands still, and worlds collide.

The cowboy hums a haunting tune, His shadow sways in the glow of the moon. A tale of sorrow, love, and lore, Of fleeting dreams and battles of yore.

The coyote answers, sharp and raw, Its voice an echo of nature’s law. A mournful cry, both fierce and free, that speaks of the earth’s eternity.

The wind becomes their quiet choir, Fanning the flames of an untamed fire. The stars, like lanterns, softly gleam, Casting their light on this shared dream.

The sagebrush whispers ancient vows, while mountains don their shadowed brows. The river, winding, hums in tune, A mirror of the knowing moon.

The cowboy’s heart, though burdened, sings, of stolen moments the desert brings. The coyote’s soul, forever wild, Runs with the wind like nature’s child.

In this sacred, boundless land, Man and beast take an ancient stand. No barriers rise, no borders confine, Under the heavens, their spirits align.

They sing of freedom, wild and deep, of secrets the night was sworn to keep. And as the first light of dawn appears, The melody fades, dissolves in tears.

Yet the desert remembers, it always knows, the songs of the moon, where the wild grows. For when stars reclaim the velvet skies, their hymn shall once again arise.
