Alex's Little Book of Poems - 10. Deep Dark Depths

This is a rather dark and serious one, compared to my other works.
They poke and prod,
Their cold gloved hands checking for abnormalities,
Surrounded with tools that all seem quite odd,
I feel as if I am the sufferer of such brutalities.

Though I know this is not in truth,
That this is no act of evil,
Though an act to help a sickly youth,
Whose mind still remains in upheaval.

My eyes never fully clear,
My mind plagued with sleep,
Always drifting off to lands far and near,
As I am in a darkness ever so deep.

This is a rather dark and serious one, compared to my other works.
