Alex's Little Book of Poems - 16. A Dream of Life
Here is another rather personal poem. I hope you enjoy it.
A garden is growing,
A mind full of knowing,
He takes deep breaths,
His mind traveling to the tests,
Her life is old,
A vision bold,
Yet the life is renewed,
Freshly brewed,
His life is ending,
Reality bending,
Eyes closing,
The truth it is exposing,
Her eyes open anew,
And the personality grew,
The life began,
And she ran,
He was no more,
She would soar,
He was lost,
No longer there to accost,
So she rose,
As she chose,
To be real,
With a dramatic reveal,
The flip of her hair,
A flashy dress she would wear,
Perfect makeup,
Very much done up,
But as the night ended,
She descended,
Deep down,
With a small frown,
He awoke,
With not a croak,
Yet a sob,
To which the dream the sunlight did rob.
Enjoyed it? Yes, no, maybe? Well I hope you did!
