Alex's Little Book of Poems - 11. All Eyes On The Prize

This hit me in the spur of the moment. And it has a significance to it, one that will stick with me. Till those twenty years end,
In twenty years you may witness,

In an era of such fitness,

You will see,

If you even remember me,

Being as I am,

My life like a battering ram,

Breaking down all the walls,

Fighting off seditious calls,

Righting injustice,

While doing still no justice,

Breaking my own heart,

Over such a silly lark,

So I say,

With no debt to pay,

No life to give,

No way to live.

Hope you enjoyed it. :)

I did, and thank you. You have me wondering about the walls you must break down or out wait. What's the rest of the story?

It's yet to be told. :)

I like the essence of including the time and love mix. And the line 'no debt to pay' was just wow. Some times broken heart can never fix.

Lovey poem Alex...

I hope it's not a poem about ending it all. If so, then know it does not have to be so bleak. Times are getting better for us and our lot in life.

The poem tells a story, makes a statement, a predicdtion. So do not worry, it's definitely not over. :)
