This story was written as part of the Idioms Are Real! Challenge. After being given the idiom "when pigs fly" I read a piece about Dungeons & Dragons in one of the forums and this story was born.
Four vastly different adventurers band together to fight an evil that has taken over a kingdom. Sasha, a human-gnome Rogue, is an experienced thrill seeker and is always close to her partner, Parker. Parker, a dwarf, is a no-nonsense Warrior willing to take on the darkest creatures if it leads to justice and treasure. Morrow, an elf, is the tall cautious Ranger, who talks little but will let his bow do all the talking if there is a fight. The final member of the quartet is Araz, a mysterious human, who is Mage with incredible power he doesn't always seem to control. Will they succeed or will fail?
