Martin Pop, Fixer
Martin Pop is the vein of magic people who show up, fix the problems a family is experiencing and then leaves. He is a creature of magic like Mary Poppins or Nanny McPhee. Where he goes healing, love, and happiness is bound to follow. Martin, unlike the others, finds himself working in the United States rather than England or Australia, because unfortunately Americans need that type of magic more right now. What happens when this magic man is called to aid an injured soldier and his poor nephew?
Written for the 2018 Fall Anthology - Fight Back and/or Good Intentions
Life has left Martin Pop rather busy. He is often helping out his charges and as quickly as he enters their lives, he seems to leave them. He is a fixer and that is what he does, he fixes the lives of those the universe sends him.
When he ends up going to help a soldier who was shot at a school, Martin's mother feels this case might be more than his normal job. Will this just be another day at the office, or does the universe have more in store?
