A poem about the cruelty of society to homosexuals in the nineteen fifties.

A story set to rhyme about growing up gay in the nineteen fifties. I needed to get this out before I passed on. My poem portrays real experiences that I had trying to come to terms with my sexuality in the immediate years following World War 2. Those of us that went through the punitive regard that society had for homosexual people, have been scarred and have had to carry our trauma for the rest of our lives.
I was motivated by learning what happened to Alan Turing, the father of our modern computers; in breaking the German codes he helped the Allies win the Second World War. Being gay, he was chemically castrated and then committed suicide.
