A sequel (of sorts!) to the story 'The Rover's Return' which appeared recently.

Read it and you will perhaps better understand the first four words.

Give the Dog a Bone is the first short story written by George, a gay man that because of the times lived a straight life.  With his family raised and his wife's death, he now indulges in writing a gay story online about a boy who finds a lost dog.  There are unexpected results that no one foresees.

Ivor Slipper writes this in third person marvelously executed to reveal two parallel stories.  Great reading and fortunately for the reader continues in a series of vignettes or chapters.  A well written and compelling tale.
