Path Forward - 12. Hear My Cries, See My Trust O Lord
Hear My Cries See My Trust O Lord
By Brandon Haines
I come to You early—
before the noise rises…
before my thoughts scatter.
You know what I’m carrying
even when I can’t clearly name it.
So, hear what I say…
and know what I don't know how to say yet, Lord.
Some days the world feels tilted—
truth stretched thin,
motives twisted,
people choosing darkness over goodness.
Walk me through it.
Help me make my steps honest
when everything around me feels twisted.
And still…
there’s that ache I don’t talk about much—
the waiting that wears on me,
the silence that feels longer than it should.
How long will this grief last
before You mend my shattered heart again.
But even here—
in the middle of the ache
and the questions—
I lean toward You.
Not because everything makes sense…
but because You’ve held me before,
and I know Your mercy doesn’t miss.
So hear my cry—
but also…
see my trust.
See the way I keep choosing You.
Know that I will always keep walking toward You—
even when the morning feels
too heavy
to bear.
Let Your favor be the shield around me.
Let Your light be the first thing I see…
and the last thing I see.
And let joy rise again
for everyone who runs toward You
with whatever strength
they have left.
O Lord…
hear my cries—
and see my trust
in only You.
