this poem is very faith forward.

Path Forward - 3. Not Yet but One Day

Not Yet, But One Day

Even though I am not ready to go, I look forward to the embrace—

The arms of the One who held me

Through the heartache of the Unknown, The sleepless nights, The stillness of the Silent of loss.

He was there When I couldn’t speak. He stayed When I couldn’t sleep.

He listened When all I had was tears. And a heart shredded by grief.

And one day— Not now, Not yet— I will run to Him.

I will embrace Him first, Then sink to my knees. Because in front of the King, Even joy bows low.

I can just imagine that embrace.

It will be so wonderful That no words could ever touch Even a fraction of it.

Only God could make room— For a love that deep and sacred.

That embrace— It would be the best thing. To be held by Jesus, And by Mom, At the same time.

One arm of mercy, One arm of memory.

One who saved me, One who’s been missed.

No words could hold it. No poem could capture it. Only God could make room— For a love that deep and sacred.

And while she is embracing me, She whispers— Welcome home, Son.
