These are two vignettes filled with love and caring.  They are well written and hold the promise of excellent stories yet to come from this author. This is a very fitting tribute to Carlos, who mentored many of the fine authors here in GA

Response from the author:

Thank you for taking the time to review my work. I hope I will be able to continue contributing. This website - authors and others here - is amazing.

Two beautiful stories.

A wonderful tribute to Carlos, author, friend and mentor to many of us here at GA.

Response from the author:

Thank you, Chris. I wish I could have known him. I am grateful we have his stories and that I can know him a little bit that way. I ran across the most wonderful line today when I was reading As Time Goes By (Chapter 4) where they've just had CJ's maternal grandfather's funeral service. He writes,

“Oh well, not to get religious but ashes to ashes and dust to dust. With both Liz and Abo, I choose to recall the happy times. And to realize my life’s better because they were part of it.”

Amen.
