Almost a Year
Almost a year, darkness returns once more
How do I cope when my mind is so raw?
The pain has gone, but it’s in my mind
Why can’t I leave the past behind?
It’s in my thoughts, my every dream
All I do is cry, but I want to scream
Leave me alone, the damage is done
Why don’t I deserve to have some fun?
You had your chance, you left your mark
But no more night terror, or scared of the dark
I’m here to prove that love conquers all
As I run to answer my true loves call
Leave me alone, just set me free
To become a man. A man that is me.
