Mark's Poem Archive - 7. The Wildman Of Fylingdales Moor

The Wildman of Fylingdales Moor

Am I the Wildman of Fylingdales Moor?

If the truth be told, I am not sure

I live all alone in the wilds, that’s true

And run around naked when nowt else to do.

I lob out the window, which means takes a pee

There’s nobody to mind, nobody can see

I eat with my fingers, and sleep in the wood

But it’s all ok; it’s all well and good

I jack off by day, and often all night

My voice makes me jump, and gives me a fright

I talk to my animals, like they understand

And put up with Luke, he’s the work hand

I am clean and smart, just not that posh

I have a tin bath, or a spring trough wash

So am I the Wildman of Fylingdales moor?

I still don’t know, I’m still unsure

You live as like, not many can do

Enjoying your life I am sure

A wildman you may not be

A wildman's not so secure.

You work hard in the fields

You take walks in the woods

Animal friends with cyber pals too

You do as you feel you should

We like you, the farmer by moors

Nothing else to say I'm sure.

:)

Cailen Poem Rating OVERALL: 7/10

Content: 8/10- whimsical and cheery, reflects a childlike and fun aspect you don't get to see in many poems

Flow: 7/10- Pretty straight forward but some lines cause reflection which breaks the mood.

Poignancy: 7/10- personally i felt the ending did not reflect the mood of the piece and made me feel a little unsure if you were the wildman or not myself. It also felt like it was cut short.
