one of those rare but wonderful days
fingers slide over the keys
as my soul listens
listens ever so closely
for a note
just one note
that touches
for once a note is found
a second is that much easier
and a third
fourth
and from the depths of despair
comes a symphony of hope
and longing
shadows fade
and darkness quivers
as the light breaks forth
note by note
