Songs in T-Minor - 2. T*****
This poem was inspired by a conversation I had on Facebook the other day. Words matter.
just because your friends say it
that doesn’t mean you get to call me
tranny
you wouldn’t call someone a
faggot
so why do you think it’s okay to call me
tranny
they use that word to
spit on us
they use that word to
threaten us
they use that word to
hurt us
you talk about intent
fuck your intent
if you use that word i will assume
that you are hostile
i will assume
that you’re a bigot
and i will run the other way
so just because your trans friends call each other that
that doesn’t mean you get to call me
tranny
Thank you for reading.
