The Sorcerous Prince - 18. Chapter 18: Royally Screwed

Queen Viviana was at the end of the bed naked with her legs over Fabian's shoulders. Mihai stood in the doorway in shock as Fabian was cumming inside the Queen's vagina without a condom. A few feet behind Fabian was King Frederico, whose cock was now flaccid, and Mihai could see the evidence of a recent ejaculation. Unable to say a word, Mihai left the room and extracted his communication globe from his pocket. “This is Prince Mihai. I need two officers with DNA kits in the upper floor of La Salle de danse. It's for evidence of the violation of the Familiar Impropriety Act.” While he waited, Mihai extracted his wand from his pocket along with a document. Two imperial police officers arrived within seconds through teleportation rings. Mihai pointed to the room and said, “You'll need to read this first so that you know I am authorized to make this particular arrest” Mihai said, handing the document to one of the officers, one with blond hair and blue eyes. The other officer had medium brown hair and hazel eyes. “Once you collect the evidence, arrest all three of them. That will be all.”

“Are you sure?” the blond officer asked.

“Yes, I'm sure,” Mihai replied flatly. “As the Imperial Vice-Chancellor of Earth, I order that the evidence be collected and that you arrest the King and Queen.”

“But they're your parents,” the man rebutted.

“What is your last name?” Mihai asked severely.

“Dobbs,” the officer replied meekly.

“Officer Dobbs, if you wish to keep your job, I suggest that you and your partner arrest the King and Queen under suspicion of violating the Familiar Impropriety Act,” Mihai warned. “I don't plan to leave them there for more than a week, but they're certainly not getting away with this.”

“Yes, Your Imperial Highness,” Officer Dobbs replied dutifully.

“Good, now get in there and collect the evidence from the Queen's vagina and my familiar's anus,” Mihai ordered. “Send the results to Imperial Judge Stuart Kingston and have him contact me in the morning. Should he ask for proof of my position, have him contact Empress Guadalupe.”

“Yes, sir,” Officer Dobbs replied.

The officers entered the bedroom and closed the door behind them. “I'm stunned,” Konstantin gasped. “How could they do this?”

“I'm not sure,” Mihai growled. “All I know is that they're going to pay the price! I could have them all executed for this.”

“Really?” Konstantin asked incredulously. “Are you really...”

“We shouldn't discuss that here,” Mihai said firmly. “I don't want them to know my plan. I want them to suffer.”

“Why didn't you tell me about that document?” Konstantin inquired bitterly.

“I didn't want them to know yet,” Mihai said. “I didn't want anyone to know. As of this summer, I will be traveling extensively with my Aunt Selena, who is Imperial High Princess and Imperial High Chancellor of Earth. She will be teaching me how to oversee everything. I'm also going to spend some time training with Nigel Harrington.”

“The Nigel Harrington?” Konstantin was awestruck by Nigel Harrington, who was a legendary figure throughout the empire.

“The one and only,” Mihai said dryly. Mihai was not nearly as impressed as Konstantin. This new position carried much responsibility. He would be juggling training and his other duties. Luckily, he would likely have the opportunity to finish some of his tasks as part of his duties as Vice-Chancellor. “That was the main reason for Empress Guadalupe's last visit. She even warned me that my father might do what he just did. The shock was that my mother was involved. I knew that almost all familiars are bisexual and all, but why didn't he know better?”

“I haven't a clue,” Konstantin sighed. “But you know that this means he now has a secondary bond with them, right?”

“Not for long,” Mihai grumbled. “This will NOT continue.”

“It could kill him!” Konstantin said sternly.

“Not if I kill him first!” Mihai spat. “How could he betray me like this? I reminded him about protocols as in no immediate family members and no secondary bonds without permission. Why would he defy me?”

“They abused their position,” Konstantin insisted. “I don't think it's his fault.”

“He could have said no!” Mihai yelled.

“Think of it from his perspective,” Konstantin retorted. “They acquired him for you. They have a lot of clout. If they wanted, they could make his life a living hell.”

Before Mihai could respond, the door opened, and the officers escorted the three criminals out of the room. It really was a criminal act, one that was meant to protect a familiar's primary bonder, which was Mihai in this particular case. “How can you do this to us?” the King yelled.

“I'm the one who should be asking that question!” Mihai roared. “Officers, get them out of my sight!” Officer Dobbs tossed a teleportation ring. His partner along with the Queen and Fabian were the first to walk through, and Officer Dobbs and the King were right behind them. Mihai and Konstantin walked back toward the elevator that led to the front of the building. Once they were inside, the elevator went to the first floor. Mihai noticed a few people giving him odd looks and could tell that people were whispering about it.

Carissa and Tyler approached then, and she appeared to be just as upset as they were. “I tried to stop them,” she cried. “I wish they weren't so...”

“It's not your fault,” Mihai told her gently. “They have obviously been planning this for a while, maybe even from the time he came to live in the palace. I don't know what their motives were. Sex is bad enough, but they now have secondary bonds with him. I am not going to stand for this.”

“What can you do about it?” Jake asked.

“I've had all three of them arrested,” Mihai said flatly.

“Since when do you have that authority?” Carissa asked skeptically. “They are the King and Queen. Your father also has a chancellorship.”

“His chancellorship is only for North and South America,” Mihai reminded her. “I am Vice-Chancellor of the entire planet.”

“Since when?” Jake asked, dumbfounded.

“A few weeks ago, the Empress came for a visit,” Mihai stated. “The main reason she came was to inform me that I was to be Vice-Chancellor of Earth effective immediately. She told me to keep the information to myself unless something like this came up. She specifically told me to have my father arrested if he did anything at all with Fabian and to have Fabian arrested as well. I am simply following orders in this case. The only thing she didn't expect was my mother's involvement. I think she wants to teach them a lesson here, one she didn't teach them before. She has no problem with them having multiple lovers, but she's afraid that it interferes with their duties especially when it involves a situation like this.”

“So are they going to be executed?” Carissa asked in a concerned tone.

“I am not at liberty to discuss this at the moment,” Mihai said coolly. “But you probably know the answer already. Now, I must find Konstantin's father.”

“No need,” Adelric replied. “I'm right behind you.”

Mihai turned around, and facing the Duke, he said, “We should go to the palace.” Mihai walked over to Adelric Bayer and touched his shoulder. Within moments, they were in the secret room. The door closed automatically. Mihai sat on the sofa, and Adelric sat in the chair across from him. “My parents have been arrested.”

Adelric's eyes opened wide, and there was shock in his voice. “Why?”

“They slept with Fabian and bonded with him,” Mihai spat, unable to hide his rage. “My aunt warned me that my father might do something like this. He has a severe problem with boundaries. She appointed me to the position of Vice-Chancellor of Earth in place of Prince Karan, who is now a prisoner at Imperial Wizards' Correctional Center.” The correctional center was in a suburb of New London called Heckadon City. “This position gives me the power to have anyone arrested aside from The Empress and my other aunt, Selena, The Chancellor of Earth as well as Robert and Nigel Harrington.” Robert Harrington was the Chancellor of Hebalon, making him the second highest-ranking official on the planet unless there was an emergency, at which point his brother, Nigel, was in command of the entire empire.

“Do you plan to have all three of them executed?” Adelric asked. The fear in his voice was apparent to Mihai, who explained the entire plan in detail. “That sounds interesting. So you'll be contacting them in the morning?”

“Yes, I will be,” Mihai responded. “I'm sure they'll drop everything for this. They've been waiting for it. Now, let's talk about your part. Since you are the highest ranking duke in the kingdom, and I am not yet a wizard, you will be acting as Regent for the time being. And just so you know, Charles Levesque will be Interim Chancellor of the Americas, so all you have to do is manage the kingdom as well as your duchy. We will be speaking to my father's assistant, Julian Moore, in the morning. In fact there will be a staff meeting. Neither of us are to mention the plan. It is between us. The only others who are privy to this information are Konstantin, Charles Levesque, Mark Cameron, Prince Pavel, and your wife. The Empress will tell Pavel, because he is in Jevartus spending the holiday with her.” Queen Viviana had taken Prince Pavel to Jevartus the night before.

“I was wondering where he was tonight,” Adelric replied. “This is a lot to take in. So why is the Baron taking over as Interim Chancellor?”

“I'm not really sure,” Mihai said. “That is how The Empress told me to set it up. I'm not to question her on this. I do know he'll be going with me this summer. I'll be traveling with Aunt Selena so that she can teach me. Charles Levesque will be acting as my assistant as well as my magical trainer.”

“Very well,” the Duke said stiffly. “We can go over more details tomorrow. Will the Baron be here as well? And how do you need to fill him in?”

“By now he already knows they were arrested.” Mihai sighed, knowing the next point would not be well received. “He is the only person I was allowed to tell about this. And I know, the man likes to gossip, but the threat of having the Empress personally cut out his tongue helped him to maintain silence. But the point is that he knows the entire plan.”

“I am the one who should have known about this!” the Duke said indignantly. “What is so special about the Charles Levesque?”

“You'd better watch your tongue,” Mihai snapped. “The Empress has taken a liking to him. She thinks that he should be much more than just a Baron. Her only problem with him is that he talks too much, but she says it can be dealt with given the right 'incentives'.”

“He is capable,” the Duke stated prosaically. “He would make a good assistant to the Emperor one day. Is that what she wants him to be for you?”

“Yes!” Mihai replied warmly. “I am most fond of him, and I respect him. He will make a great assistant. If all goes well, it will be a long time before he has that position. She could have more than two-hundred years left.” The Longevity Potion more than quadrupled someone's lifespan and the age of fertility in women. Those who were old at the time of the potions created by the then Princess Viviana recaptured their youth.

“Long may she reign!” the Duke said in reverent pride.

“Indeed,” Mihai echoed. “I fear it will not be so if the demons have their way.”

“Their evil knows no limits,” Adelric grumbled. “My own father was killed by the Demon King. I despise him more than any other demon. Oh how I would love to see his body explode into a pile of ash.”

“You're not the only one in this room who wants him dead,” Mihai snarled. “And as far as I'm concerned the Dark Emperor should join him. Unfortunately, I've taken an Everlasting Vow to never harm him. At least there's an exception in which I can.”

“Well, I'm glad there's a special stipulation,” Adelric replied. “He is a nasty piece of work. Why Prince Karan likes him so much I'll never know.”

“I'm sure he doesn't like the Dark Emperor too much right now,” Mihai quipped. “He'll have ten years to rethink his position.”

“Quite right,” Adelric chuckled. “Is there anything else?”

“No,” Mihai replied. “I think we've covered all the bases.” They stood up about the same time and walked toward the door. Mihai opened it and saw two familiar faces. Konstantin had already changed out of his tuxedo and so had Kyle.

“Are you staying here tonight?” the Duke asked them.

“Yes,” they answered in unison.

“Very well then,” the Duke replied. “I'm glad you two are here. I'll see you in the morning.” Adelric Bayer reached into his pocket and took out a teleportation ring and was gone within seconds.

“We thought you might need us,” Konstantin said softly as he gave Mihai a hug.

“I really appreciate it,” Mihai said sniffling. “This has been too much.”

“It'll be alright,” Konstantin replied as he rubbed Mihai's back. “Let's go take a shower. It'll make you feel better.” Konstantin led Mihai to his bed chamber by the hand. Kyle followed closely behind. The two of them, helped Mihai out of his clothes and took him into the bathroom. Kyle washed Mihai's backside while Konstantin focused on the front. Konstantin even washed his hair. The focus switched to Konstantin. Kyle washed his back as well, and Mihai washed his front side. Just as Konstantin had done for him, Mihai washed Konstantin's hair. Konstantin's familiar, Kyle, received similar treatment with Konstantin washing his backside. After Mihai shampooed and conditioned Kyle's hair, the water shut off automatically through magic. A towel appeared in each one of their hands, and they took turns drying each other. Before long, the three of them had dried their hair completely and brushed their teeth. They then crawled into bed with Mihai in the middle. Kyle's power to make someone drift into sleep was more than even Mihai's troubled mind could combat.

Konstantin was the first to awaken, and he saw three men and a woman standing over him. The woman was King Frederico's familiar, Janet. His other familiar, Allen, was one of the three men. Queen Viviana's familiars, Enrique and Manuel, were the remaining men in the group. “Are you going to wake him up?” Enrique asked Konstantin.

“Kyle,” Konstantin hailed. “Wake up!” Kyle woke up quickly, and once he remembered that he was the only one there who could could awaken Mihai, he used his power to awaken Mihai from the deep slumber. Kyle's power allowed him to make anyone go to sleep as long as he wanted, and his awakening power was one of the few ways to counteract it. Someone could sleep until death otherwise.

Mihai's eyes snapped open, and he immediately focused on his parents' familiars. “If you four give me a few minutes, I will take you to the preservation chambers. While I cannot tell you whether or not your bonders will live, I will make sure that you all live without maintenance in the meantime.” The four familiars said nothing more and exited the room. Their first inclination would have been to kill Mihai, but they knew that the Empress would personally see to their torturous deaths if they acted in such a manner. Instead, their sense of self-preservation prevailed.

After Mihai dressed, he led the four familiars to the tenth floor of the palace, which was the top floor. To the right of the stairs was a hallway that led to a golden sliding door. The door opened just in time for Mihai to walk through it. He entered a room with four tall “cabinets”. The cabinets were made of a magical iron alloy, and Mihai opened all four with his magnetic power. “Know this. I take no pleasure in any of this. I wish I could tell you all more, but I am under orders from the Empress herself. She knew the four of you wouldn't like this, but we prepared for this kind of situation months ago. Go into these chambers. Should your bonders return, they will come for you as soon as they can. Should they die, so will all of you. In that case, these chambers will prepare your bodies for burial. Enter them now, and you will be guaranteed life so long as your bonders shall live.”

The four familiars entered the chambers. Mihai closed the doors and left the room not knowing whether or not the four familiars would live.

When Mihai reached the ground level of the palace, he sat down at the head of the family dining room table. Konstantin, who was already there when Mihai arrived, was seated to his left with Kyle next to him. Konstantin's sister, Abby, was to Mihai's right. The Duke was seated in the King's usual seat with his wife to his right and his familiars, Cacilia and Sabina to his left.

Without any pause, Mihai said with genuine warmth, “I see that all of you arrived early! Welcome to your new home, whether it be temporary or permanent. Just know that I will be taking up residence in the Palace of the Crown Prince within a week.”

“We consider this your home, Your Imperial Highness,” Adelric replied kindly. “We feel as if we are guests. You do not need to leave on our account. We consider you part of the family.”

“Thank you, Your Grace!” Mihai replied. “You and I both know what is to be, so you above all should know what I mean.”

“Indeed I do,” the Duke replied. “Still, some here are not allowed to know. I suggest we go to your secret room after breakfast. We should have time before the staff meeting at 10 AM.” Such a meeting was unusual for a Sunday morning, but it was required under the unusual circumstances.

“Actually, let us wait until my aunts arrive,” Mihai said. Mihai's statement was not a suggestion. Breakfast conversation lulled after Mihai spoke. He did not eat much, but he knew that if he had to perform any more magic, he needed food. He had lost ten pounds since ascending, and he had already been slender.

The Duke and Baron Charles Levesque, who had arrived soon after breakfast, answered most of the questions during the meeting, because Mihai was still not in a talking mood. It took all of his strength to stop himself from showing any signs of emotion. This was not unusual for a royal or noble. Emotion was considered a sign of weakness and could only be shown to close family members and friends. The staff members seemed to be adjusting well, and Cheryl made a point of telling Mihai after the meeting that he should indeed have his parents executed. Mihai remained stone-faced and said that he appreciated her input but that it was not yet officially decided what their fate would be, but he also reminded her that while it was a capital offense, the maximum penalty was rarely exercised and that charges of such a nature were sometimes dropped. He then excused himself.

After stepping out into the hallway, Mihai went to his private office on the third floor of the palace. He rarely allowed anyone else into the room, so it was a good location for what he was about to do. The Empress had installed an interplanetary communication globe during her last visit. Mihai touched the globe for the first time, and it glowed with much more brilliance than a normal globe. “Hello, My Empress,” Mihai said formally.

'Hello Mihai,' she replied. 'You don't need to be so formal with me. So what can I do for you?'

“You were right,” Mihai sighed. “My father had sex with Fabian and bonded with him. That's not all. My mother did as well.”

'I didn't want to be right about this,' the Empress replied sympathetically. 'I will be there shortly. I will be stopping off in Africa first. I think it's time for you to meet your Aunt Selena and her wife, Constance. Your Aunt Selena is going to grill both of your parents, and she's very good at it. That's why I want you to learn from her. We'll be there shortly.'

“Thank you, Aunt Guadalupe,” Mihai replied. “I look forward to seeing you. Good-bye.”

'Good-bye,' the Empress replied. The globe dimmed, and Mihai exited the office with haste.

Since Mihai did not have his familiar present, Kyle was temporarily taking over Fabian's duties and acting as principal familiar for both Mihai and Konstantin, which he did not seem to mind at all. Mihai gave Kyle the task of greeting The Empress and Chancellor Selena Rousseau. Meanwhile, Mihai personally reconfigured the conference room for a much smaller group. The room was magically inclined to such changes, and there was already a smaller table. Since it was close to lunch time, another table would be off to the side where the food would be kept. This was for the convenience of the servers. With a few twitches of his wand, Mihai had reconfigured the room.

Mihai then tracked down everyone else. There was going to be a discussion about the entire plan, and Mihai knew that his aunts would not want to waste any time. There would be a full discussion about what was to be the fate of the King and Queen as well as the fate of Fabian. He figured that everyone in the room aside from Pavel would be going to the city jail. This was standard protocol for such situations, and Mihai knew that his Aunt Selena was going to be pissed. He had not yet met her, but from all accounts she was not some someone to f**k with. She could go from bunny to hardcore bitch in seconds.

Everyone already in the palace entered the conference room, and there was a preliminary discussion about what the Empress and her sister might say. Mihai was anxious about their arrival. He had no idea what to expect from Selena or Constance, but they were known for their fierceness. A knock at the door interrupted the conversation, and everyone stood. “Yes,” Mihai said.

Kyle opened the door and entered, closing the door behind him. “They have arrived. I have them waiting in the lobby. Shall I send them in?”

“Kyle, you were told to bring them straight to the conference room. Were you not?” Konstantin growled. “You are supposed to listen to Mihai when he gives an order as if I am giving you the order. Understood?”

“Yes,” he replied fearfully. Turning to Mihai, he added, “I'm sorry, Your Highness.”

“It's alright, Kyle,” Mihai said. “Just be sure that it doesn't happen again. Now please escort Empress Guadalupe, Chancellor Selena, and the Magical Queen of Kenya, Constance, into the conference room at once!”

“Yes, sir!” the familiar said before quickly exiting the room, though he forgot to close the door.

“What's his problem?” Mihai asked.

“I think he's overwhelmed by the presence of your Aunt Selena,” Konstantin replied. “She is renowned for being a real hard ass. We should not tell them that we ordered him to bring them straight to the conference room. Otherwise, she might just pummel him.” At the last statement, Mihai gulped.

Moments later the door opened, and the Empress as well as Chancellor Selena Rousseau, and Queen Constance Abasi entered the room, Kyle closed the door. Everyone in the room had remained standing until the Empress, her sister, Mihai, and Queen Constance were seated in that order. “Let's begin,” Empress Guadalupe said formally. “Today, we are going to the jail. We will require the King and Queen to be in the interrogation room. I will make this quite clear. No one is to strike them aside from perhaps Mihai if he really feels the need, and that includes you, Selena! I know you are a staunch disciplinarian, but you will not strike our brother or his wife. I'm making an exception for Mihai, but I doubt he will take me up on the offer.” Mihai shook his head. “Very well then. Selena, though you are not to strike them, you shall be interrogating them. Use whatever non-torturous tactics you must, but the bottom line is that there will be no physical pain. Is that understood?”

“Yes, My Empress,” Selena replied coldly. As Mihai expected, Selena was scowling at her sister. “However, I must express my deepest regret that it is so. You know damn well I wanted to slap the taste out of his mouth when he slept with your husband.”

“As did I!” the Empress growled. “But I showed restraint! He is a horny bastard from hell who can't seem to keep his dick in his pants, but he is still our brother. Still, I think the plan will eradicate his behavior once and for all. Now, I would like to remind you all the variation in the punishment for this crime. It is a serious offense, but we allow leeway for the victim, which is Mihai in this case.”

The Empress cleared her throat and continued speaking. “He has several options. Some of you know what his choice is while others will not. Should he choose to make changes, he is so allowed, but I get the feeling that he wishes to stick to the plan. Nonetheless, we are to act accordingly. Both of them are to assume that the penalty we have chosen is death. This is why. I want them to have several days to think about what they have done, and I want them to sincerely apologize to Mihai for what they have done. And yes, Selena, I can see that you wish to speak.”

“That's not all they have done recently!” Selena fumed. “And I'm going to be quite frank. You should never have gone along with the plan in the first place. You knew damn well how disturbing that recreation was. You were key in making it! There is little worse a demon can do than to eat a young child! I damn well know that Mihai wasn't ready for it. Yet, from what you tell me, he has created a secret room, and you and I can only guess that Mihai has used the loophole to tell your son, Pavel, what happened so that he has time to absorb the information before he 'officially' knows what happened to his sister who would have one day been Empress.”

“You're right, Selena,” the Empress admitted. Though it was most unusual for her to show any emotion, a guilty tear streamed down her right cheek. “Mihai, I am so sorry that I didn't urge them to create a secret room like you have for Pavel, and just know that I have no intention of telling him. Officially, he does not know. I was well-aware of the secret room spell, and so were they. That is how you should have found out, and I'm sorry that you found out the way you did and that I was so hard on you. I've even made sure that the manager of the hotel was fired.”

“Your apology is accepted, My Empress,” Mihai replied sincerely. “You even made me feel guilty for seeking the truth. As for Pavel, I am the secret keeper, and I shall not reveal whether or not your assertion is correct regarding his knowledge, officially or otherwise, and just know, that I will be damned if he sees that damn recreation any time soon. It was the worst I have seen, even worse than the one of dear Uncle Francisco.”

Francisco was the youngest brother of the Empress. After his father, grandfather, and niece were murdered, he and a brave group of witches and wizards went to the Underworld and sought the Demon King with the intention of killing him and the other snake demons. However, their quest failed, and Prince Francisco was forced to watch as every single one of his cohorts were murdered.

With regard to outright brutality, Francisco's murder was much worse than the fate suffered by Mihai's sister, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was tortured for days, healed, and force-fed food that would make most humans vomit. Then his lower abdomen was slashed open so that his guts were hanging out. He was made to watch as the Demon King, in his humanoid form, slurped his guts like a giant spaghetti noodle. He ultimately died from having his spine ripped out of his body. What made the murder of Anica so much worse was the fact that she was a child. Children were the only magical people rarely killed by demons, and it was shocking that the Demon King would do so. It was bad enough that children were often forced to watch as their parents were slain by demons and left to fend for themselves.

“Yes, I agree,” the Empress sighed. “Your Aunt Selena has a way of showing me the error of my ways.”

“Of course I do!” Selena chimed in. “Someone has to keep the ruler of an empire in line, and our brother certainly isn't capable. Just be glad that my wife isn't the one to persuade you. She makes me look like a pussy cat!”

“I'll keep that in mind,” Guadalupe said dryly. “Now, if there is nothing else, let us go to the jail. I can tell everyone wants to get this over with.”
