Seasoning of the Seasons - 2. Seasoning of the Seasons

Four Haiku featuring the tastes of the seasons.

Spring

Garden-fresh herbs grow;

dill, rosemary, thyme, basil

make Friday’s baked fish.

Summer

Cooling citrus soothes;

lemon, mint, chives, cilantro

flavor beach picnics.

Fall

Pumpkin spice heaven;

Cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg

elevate hot drinks.

Winter

Warm spices comfort;

Ginger, cardamom, nutmeg

mean family time.

Thanks for reading! How do your seasonal flavors compare to mine?

Love them, except for chives and pumpkin spice.  Sounds delicious!.

Not only that, but wonderful poetry.
