To the End - 1. To the End

To the End

By W.L

With twelve cycles past

Our fears did not last

Then came a blast

With a swirl of human mass

Arms broken in two

With legs scattered thru

Bloody rain ensue

When a cluster withdrew

We must hold firm

We must hold true

We must stand

Where many fell

We must keep true

What many kept

That freedom from fear

None should yield

To the End

As a family, a community, a nation, a people, this is a rally cry that come what may, despite the hurt, the pain, the devastation faith reigns supreme. We will rise above, we will not be defeated, we will not be overcome.

In a year, a week, a day that America it would seem is under attack in so many different ways, these are powerful and moving words.

I salute you, and stand shoulder to shoulder with you. People separated by an ocean, yet people united by our humanity and solidarity for one another.
