    Chapter 4

The closer I got to the playroom where the girls were, the more nervous I became. Although I had given up on being a father, I now have two young girls to care for. It was still proving to be challenging for me to reconcile the Jane I knew four years ago with the woman whose parental rights had been terminated. I concluded that I didn't know the true Jane Mason. I must focus on these girls and make them my top priority. Fortunately, my commanding officer agreed to the emergency leave so that I c

    Chapter 3

Editors and sounding boards are a definite "must". Unfortunately, my editor disappeared, and I haven't found a new one yet. The saying "It takes a village" comes to mind because behind every author is a village of those who help out behind the scenes to get everything just right.

    Chapter 3

As I waited to get the DNA test results, I tried to keep myself busy by trying to have everything I needed for the girls. Still, it was hard since I didn’t have all the information or the confirmation that they were mine; however, after the conversation with Ms. Schmidt, there was hope inside that I had forgotten was there—the hope for a family of my own. When I acknowledged this hope, I realized that my relationship with Alex was at an end. This brought home just how different my plans var

    Chapter 2

I tried to rest on the flight to Maryland, but I could not get my brain to shut down long enough. My brain went through all the possible scenarios of what was waiting for me when I landed. It was all I could do not to hyperventilate as the wheels touched down. Thankfully I had already rented a car and only brought a carry-on suitcase so I would not have to wait for it in the baggage area. I was moving on autopilot and was soon plugging the address into the GPS in the car. Before I realized it, I

  13. Chapter 11  - Revised Albus just knew that something was going on with that dratted Potter boy. How else could Molly and her two youngest be in the Goblin mines? He just couldn’t figure it out. If only he knew who he could get the information from.   Suddenly, he sat up as he realized he knew someone who could help him, Remus Lupin. He was sure to know what was going on. Albus pulled some parchment towards him and grabbed his gold quill and his purple ink pot to begin his letter. Once

    Chapter 8

Chapter 8 As the Blacks and Cullens were getting ready, Albus Dumbledore was using every favor he had saved to try to find the missing wizarding world heroes. At every turn he was hitting wall after wall. It was as if they had fallen off the map. He could not find them anywhere in Great Britain or any other European country. Never once did he even contemplate that they may have gone across the pond, conveniently forgetting that the Black family had holdings in America. Of course, it did not
