    Chapter 15

    Black Widow, chapter 1
  2. impunity

    Chapter 14

In JJ's defense, being late for Brad et al was almost entirely Kris's fault. That doesn't excuse JJ's behavior to Will and Travis, but let's not overlook Kris's part in all this (as he seems to have done).

    Chapter 9

Restricted to whom? Trying to figure out how I made the cut. 😀
  4. impunity

    Chapter 9

Will does seem to be a magnet for hot closeted guys.
  5. impunity

    Chapter 8

Poor JP, doomed to be embarrassed in public by his uncouth relatives.

    Chapter 7

This was a delightful interlude, the sort that it usually precedes some serious drama. I'm sure between St. Vincent's arrival and Calvert's appointment at the Palace, we'll get plenty of it before too long.
  7. impunity

    Chapter 6

Amelia may have her own motives but, for the King and Queen, inviting Calvert to stay at the palace is more an act of charity to one of the King's officers than any particular desire to keep company with him.
  8. impunity

    Chapter 6

So, Calvert has a week's reprieve from Amelia and the palace. He may need that time to brush up his survival social skills.
  9. Have a wonderful vacation! Hopefully none of us goes into acute withdrawal in your brief absence.

    Chapter 7

I love Travis's goofball sense of humor. I don't know how he comes up with these elaborate scenarios. JJ's secret power struggle with the staff at his therapist's office is hilarious. I wonder if the staff realize they're in this ongoing battle or if it's all in his head. Haha.

    Chapter 5

Things are definitely going smoothly for Granger. A solid plan is established for the protection of the King, he is bonding with his crew, Winkler got a night off, and even Calvert's idiotic attempt to climb to the quarterdeck had a fortuitous outcome. The drunken Master might have to be dealt with but otherwise, to all appearances, we're still on track for a nice, peaceful book. It's even in the title.

    Chapter 6

Well, I personally prefer a good whisk(e)y. 🙂 You're in Australia, right? Probably the best gin I ever had was Tasmanian sheep's whey gin. Worth checking out if you haven't already.
  13. impunity

    Chapter 6

The quinine in tonic fluoresces blue under blacklight. The gin is actually irrelevant.

    Chapter 6

Don't diss the maid, JJ. Lovers will come and go, but Jacinta will always be there for you. At least until she's too old to be of service and has to be pensioned off (by the family's HR department). I do love how JJ bonds with the domestic staff in his self-absorbed way. As I recall, he was the one who facilitated Rosa's move to Boston after he figured out she was lonely in Malibu. He even found her a Catholic church. Of course, it was all about making his own life more comfortable.
  15. impunity

    Chapter 5

JJ does really go for those hot guys with noble titles. It's also hilarious how differently Will and JJ felt about Kris's signature moves. Fortunately JJ is the one who appreciated them. 😀
