Looking for gay stories in the late 1990s, I ran across an author named Comicality and his stories stood out from all of the other stories I could find at that time. I explain how a simple email turned into me getting to know one of the nicest and most encouraging people I’d ever known.

Jem lived in a kingdom where only the Noble and a few others lived well and he seemed doomed to a life of poverty and misery. He, along with a group of other boys, had a chance to improve their lot in life, but would it all end with a final roll of the dice?

Tristan Rader and Gavin Munson met as four-year-olds and almost immediately became best friends. However, their time together ended the summer before fifth grade when Gavin’s father got a new job and his family moved away. As the pair grew older, their paths would cross and bring them together in unexpected ways, only to have fate intercede and cause them to lose contact yet again. Will the journey of life win in the end or will fate triumph? Only time will tell.

Kerry is very unhappy and hates school because he is being picked on by his peers. Things come to a head on Halloween when an incident leads Kerry to decide he’s finally had enough. What is he about to do?

A gay couple, Yale and Mason, own a duplex and live on one side while renting out the other. After Thanksgiving, they get an unexpected surprise when they discover they’ve selected enough of the correct numbers in the lottery to have won some money. They didn’t win a great deal, but now they’re deciding how to spend it.

Ben and Caleb Webster, a married gay couple, go out for a walk on Halloween before the trick-or-treaters arrive. It’s a walk they take every night, but this time they end up in a place they barely recognize. (Halloween story)
