When the star dragon Lalianus falls from the heavens to find his purpose and breaks his wing upon impact on earth, he finds help and refuge with Torryn, the man whose backyard he'd crashed into.

After their victory over Orinovo, Lys-Akkaria decides to take back territory that used to be theirs. With the combined forces of a lightweaver and shadowforger, Orinovo doesn't stand a chance.

In spite of their newfound advantage, Ainreth finds himself with doubts about how far this is going. Things get more complicated when they discover a Orinovan conspiracy. With a new threat, it becomes clear they must march on Orinovo's capital to end it.
