It's been nearly eight years since Nick Linscott saw Ian Reyes, his childhood best friend. The two were inseparable, but Ian left town suddenly, and Nick hadn't heard from him since. So, obviously, his return is just as shocking as the day he left. Nick, expecting to reunite like a scene in a movie, is shocked when the boy who came back is not the same bubbly friend he knew. Ian is cold, harsh, and all the things Nick dislikes. But the two of them keep finding each other in the same spaces, leading Nick to wonder if they'll ever be as close as they once were.
