I'm tired. Being the local freak-tard is exhausting. I have reached the point to where I despise them as much for their pity and charity as their ignorance and superstition. Humans really are despicable and disgusting animals. It is better to be a beast.
Zombieland - is a movie I was all set to hate. A redneck, a geek and two female grifters turn out to be much deeper and more engaging characters than you would think at first glance. It turns out that the very skills that made these characters only marginally functional in ordinary society made them excel at survival after the zombie apocalypse. This ain't Shakespeare but it's good for a few laughs.

I got a call today. Some idiot on a bulldozer had sliced a fiber cable and they needed somebody who could patch it up fast. The job turned out to be a misery.

A couple of months ago I joined a gym. I wanted to get a jump on the resolutions thing. That never works.
I started a program 4 times a week and have stuck to it. A lot of times I go daily depending on my schedule.
I put most of the time into cardio and ride an exercise bike for 45 minutes. For the balance of my time I hit the weights. After 2 months at it I'm seeing results and am pleased.

I joined a gym about a month ago. My last gym went bankrupt and left me hanging with four months of dues.
I know the owner and like the equipment so I have a lot more confidence. I haven't worked out regularly for a while so I decided to start with a lot of aerobic stuff. I didn't touch a weight for a couple of weeks.
Every morning I first started I spent 45 minutes to an hour on a stationary bike.
Once I got my stamina back, I cut the time on the bike down and have started in on

On the way home from work I got a frantic call from my Mom- "Help! I've got water coming in!"
We have had one of the wettest Octobers on record and got a huge splash of rain Thursday & Friday: 6 1/2" in 14 hours. A creek near my Mom's house had gotten dammed up by logs and sentiment and flooded her garage and kitchen.

I've been through a lot of changes in that time- not all of them for the better. Seen some difficult times that I would have really rather been somewhere else.
It's not easy starting again after 40. If you use drugs and alcohol, I suggest getting clean and sober earlier. People love to give second chances to young people. When you are older, I guess they figure that you should know better. It's much harder and takes more grit than most people have
