A friend of mine posted the various flags of the LGBTQWTF alphabet soup idiocy. There's the good old reliable Pride flag that everybody used to like colorful with its rainbow of colors. The Company

Would you like to play a game?

Collaborative stories can be fun but, sometimes they can be a pain. It's not just nostalgia

Big & Tall Blues

When it's not just about you

A few years ago I was fat and out of shape. I got tired of it and decided to do something about it.    Over several years I went to the gym 3 or 4 times a week. Donating Stem Cells

Stem cells are a critical part of the human immune system. The sit beneath white cells and T-cells and usually reside in the bone marrow.   In certain types of cancers like leukemia and bone marrow cancer, the damaged stem cells must be cleaned out by chemotherapy and radiation and re[laced by healthy stem cells. Update

I have had an extensive physical at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and am in great shape.   I have been tested for all sorts of viruses and conditions and have none of  them.   I am in great shape and will be an excellent stem cell donor for my brother- who has bone marrow cancer.   We expect to give him the transplant around the 1st week of September.   Since we are such a good match, that ups his chances for recovery considerably.   This is e

BAD SCIENCE

The change

A couple of years ago I was fat. Not pleasantly plump. Not healthy. Fat.   It happens when you get older and don't change diet and exercise more. I got into the work, home, work cycle. The Plan

A number of years ago, I was in a bad place. After a number of set backs, I was beginning to feel like a loser. Note the word FEEL.    I was overweight, getting older and feeling like the sun had set on me.   I began to look and see what could make me feel like a winner again. Where I'm at

Is a truly terrible place.   The last Friday in February my 90 year old mother fell and broke her hip. Luckily she broke the femur and not close into the joint so the repair surgery was not complicated and didn't need a replacement. Unluckily, she is 90 and opiate sensitive. Anything they give her for pain is a nightmare of nausea and delirium.  She spent a week in the hospital for the surgery, a week in a rehab hospital and six weeks in a rehab care facility and came home Friday the 1
