Weekly Update Weekly Wrap Up!
First off, a note from Cia regarding the WST:
Many of you might have noticed the recent influx of members added to the Writer Support Team. First, thank you to everyone who agreed to help out, I always appreciate the willingness of volunteers to help keep the site going. Without people giving their time and skills, GA wouldn't exist as it is today.
The title of this site is Gay Authors. The writing community is, and always has been, my main focus. I have benefitted greatly from it and I wish to ensure that other site authors can as well. One of the ways that can happen is increasing the site's visiblity in the online community, bringing more readers, and hopefully more authors, to the site. Readers are what we are all looking for as authors. To bring more in, we will be working on a few projects.
One new project will be reviewing anthology stories to create 'The Best of 2006 Anthology Stories', for example. We will also be discussing and developing ideas to help authors improve their writing-including revitalizing the editor/beta reader program, if possible. We may bring members some workshops beyond the tips you can find in the weekly blog and the forums. We want the stories here on GA to live up to our the motto 'Quality Gay Fiction'.
I hope that answers any questions members might have had about the recent additions to the team, and what is going on behind the scenes. Keep an eye out for new things showing up in the announcements and blogs. As always, if you have any ideas on what could help enhance your experience on this site as an author or reader, please feel free to pm me anytime.

A Reminder: The chosen story for the CSR book club is State of Mind by Libby Drew. The discussion will take place this coming Monday, so make sure you've read it before then so that you can join in with your thoughts!
On Monday, Ieshwar provided us with a review of Nothing More Awesome Than This by xTony. Thanks to Ieshwar's review, many have now added the story to their lists!
For our Wacky Wednesday, we featured an article written by Libby Drew called Story Needs Direction. Libby once again has offered us some wonderful tips, so make sure to check it out!
The Friday prompts were back this week, and since there was no new prompt response to feature, Cia whipped up a quick one in response to one of this weeks prompts!
