As a noun it is a unit measurement of water depth with each fathom equaling six feet.

Try doing log in with a class of 3rd graders who were given a qr code last year and are expected to use their email and password (8 digit birthdate) this year on subpar tech. I had to give one kid 4 Chromebooks before it would even GET to the log in page! Poor kids and poor me. That teacher totally switched from the writing lesson to tech after I walked in, I swear!
