High jinks was a popular 17th century Scottish drinking game involving dice. A bad throw meant choosing between drinking more alcohol or doing something embarrassing.

Sounds a lot like college drinking games.

I've seen it played with cards - high card takes a shot, runner-up gets a bong hit.

They called it Hammer-time.
