Site Moderator drpaladin 81,570 Posted January 5 (edited) Site Moderator Palominos were very popular in westerns. The most famous palomino was Trigger, owned by Roy Rogers. Before Roy, Trigger had been the mount for Gene Autry and Tex Ritter. TV's Mr. Ed was a palomino. Stardust was another palomino and was Gary Cooper's mount in twelve westerns. Another palomino is Argo, Xena Warrior Princess's mount. Edited January 5 by drpaladin 4

(Thank you Wikipedia for your excellent assistance.) The website Online Etymology Dictionary has so much information on palomino only the super curious would appreciate it. And, yes, in Sanskrit it's palitah "gray." 1 3
