Vellichor is a neologism that combines the words "vellum" (fine parchment) and "ichor" (the fluid that flows in the veins of the gods in Greek mythology). 

Vellichor was created by John Koenig in 2013 for his project, The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows. 

Examples of "vellichor" used in a sentence:  
"As she entered the antique shop, the aroma of old paper and leather filled her with a sense of vellichor."  
"The dusty shelves of the used bookstore evoked a strong feeling of vellichor in him." 
"Browsing through the pages of a vintage book, she was enveloped by the vellichor of its history."  
"He found solace in the vellichor of the old library, a place where time seemed to stand still."

Do you mind if I store vellichor in that section of my bookcase titled "Things I didn't know had a name". For sentimental reasons I go there occasionally to enjoy the aroma of old documents, paper and leather. I just wish there was a word to describe that aroma.
