The SMART-1 lunar probe crashed into the Moon right on cue on Sunday morning. Mission controllers at the European Space Agency lost contact with the probe at 0542 GMT, indicating that it had struck close to the planned landing site on the lunar

Yeah- the image at the top comes from an old French movie. Since it was an ESA probe, I thought that it was somewhat appropriate. :lol:

I recognized it, which is why i thought it was so funny. ROFL!

 

Speaking of European Space Graphics, take a look at this one:

Not only does it show the shuttle free-flying when transferring the new truss to the station, but they put the SRB's OVER the wing on the graphic of the stack. ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

(BTW, no offence meant to any Europeans! I'd make the same remarks no matter who put out this graphic!)
