Bardeara 132 Posted October 29, 2005 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Hehe, We all are going to miss Quinn Jules Yeah right.. have you read the threads? It appears Rory has become a bit more liked over Quinn these days. I don't know why?!? Then again I don't care, I just like reading Dom's stories. I find them really informative.
BoyNeedsTherapy 1 Posted October 29, 2005 Even though I've obv not read 25 yet, I just want to say thanks for an awesome story Dom, and all the time and effort you've put into it *hug*
Rocketcnj 2 Posted October 29, 2005 Dom, you know I LOVE TOU...I will be both sad and happy..its an awesome story:) In any event, enjoy the weekend, get rest and before you know it you will be inspired for DD and Rory. For the record, who can hate Rory? Geez, the poor guy has been through hell and back in just a few short weeks. Crazy Grandma who can't follow directions from her only dying daughter to comply with her last wish after she passes away (no less drive sanely), one lying Dad, a cousin, who really isn't a cousin and really is Gay, his Mother died just a few short weeks/months ago and his life is upside down, sideways, wacky crazy confusion and now he discovers everyone is Gay (not just him) and well, maybe Che to dog isn't Gay (except we don't know that for certain either) Can you spell, D-R-A-M-A and C-H-A-0-S rolled up into one upside down turned crazy life for a teenager (heck for anyone)?!! I can't wait to read Chapter 25 of TOU......Dom, you are the best:) Michael
tarantio 0 Posted October 29, 2005 OMG...Dom..that was a terrific ending!!! when i thought that i would feel sad knowing it would officially come to an end after the last chapter of TOU had been sent in, to my surprise, i didn't. This has to be due to the fact that the ending plot is REALLY fabulous and well written. The ending story really left me absolutely satisfied and a sense of completion. You are such a talented writer and i am so looking forward to the next chap of DD. Meanwhile, i am going to start reading TOU right from the start all over again * chuckles Have a nice weekend, your diehard fan, Tarantio
Lucy Kemnitzer 0 Posted October 30, 2005 I do like that Quinn wasn't wrong about absolutely everything in the world, even if the one thing he wasn't wrong about was his mom's reaction to learning he was gay. I also do like that there's a certain symmetry between Brad's and mom's reaction, and that Quinn has learned enough the second time to be more accepting of "taking time" even if he's not completely gracious (but neither is she). Now that I think about it, Quinn and his mom really are very much like each other. Excessively responsible, obsessive about getting the weirdest little things right, loving, helpful, and very very bad social skills.
GREEN 10 Posted October 30, 2005 Just read the end of Tou and I must say that it was a great, no spectacular way to go out. Thank you Mr. Luka, I tip my head towards you my good sir. I must say that I was close to crying in some parts and I suggest that anyone that hasn't read this story to get on with it. TOU of course is my favorite Luka tale and I eagerly await the next installment of Desert Dropping but nothing will compare to this story for me. I am very satisfied with it's ending and I hope you keep on writing as long as you love what you do Mr. Luka because we all love what you write, ( I swear if anybody says otherwise I will come down on them with a force greater than the apocalypse. LOL JK it'll be greater than even that.) That said now we can focus on Rory. I wish you good luck Mr. Luka. With love, a GREEN fan.
Guest Spike13 Posted October 30, 2005 Wow, TOU has come to an end, and a totally fullfilling one at that. Don't get me wrong, I hate that it's over (believe me!!!!) but at least the ending was as it should be. That was an absolutely amazing story, totally honest in every way. Bravo Mr. Luka!
Bardeara 132 Posted October 30, 2005 Wow... that's about all I can say. You really wrapped up the ending well.. It was a double ending, but this one did end it. I felt like you completed the story between these two and even though I would love to read more on these two, I am content if you never write anything else regarding these two. Great Job Mr. Luka er.. I mean Dom. You really should feel proud of what you have written.
Low Flyer 55 Posted October 30, 2005 Hi Dom, Just finished the last chapter. What can I say? It was some of your best writing yet - I'll miss these guys, but you've managed to wrap it up so well, that I feel I can let go of them now. You are a seriously talented writer - you do know that don't you? I'm looking forward to rereading DD to catch up - enjoy your nap, but don't leave it too long. Thanks again Alastair
Former Member 5,630 Posted October 30, 2005 I'm happy and sad. Happy because it's a good ending and sad because it's over *starts crying* Tob Are you working on DD now?
The Journeyman 0 Posted October 30, 2005 This was an excellent story. I really got annoyed with Quinn, though. He seemed to follow a model that a lot of teen-age coming out stories follow -- everyone is afraid to talk to anyone else for fear of offending them. Thus secrets are kept and misunderstandings are deepened. Quinn wasn't quite that bad; his reason for secrets was, rightfully as it turned out, his mother. I can't blame him for that. And I did like the fact that Quinn was very, very teen-age. His sexual confusion, his overall confusion, his hormone-caused confusion was very true to form. So while I was annoyed with him, it was because I am a parent myself, and I recognized the pattern. I was even more annoyed with his mom. She was close-minded and negative, totally distrustful and downright mean at times. Sure signs of her own insecurity. Anyway, Dom, you have written an excellent story. I'm eager to get on with DD. And although I didn't tell you before, I really enjoyed TLW, too. The Journeyman
Demonic_Kitty 0 Posted October 31, 2005 To put it so very simply: Thank-you. TOU has kept my sense of hope alive for so many months it's unbelievable. You've made me laugh and cry and so much more than that you've helped to relax my odd obcession with finding a man ( you know I'd like one but just not so much.) You are fantastic- nay, fabulous. *A big real hug* xx James xx
Guest jfinn Posted October 31, 2005 Dom, Such a terrific story. I hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of rec'ing it on Uniquely Pleasurable, http://unique.logophilos.net/public_html/index.php a site where members review and provide links for their favorite original slash and/or gay stories. A story as good as this deserves as wide an audience as possible. Again, well done! Jayne
