David McLeod Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 ...What happens next? The twins' story is, of course, part of a larger story; they are not the main characters. However, they do have a continuing role. Two scenes in which they play important parts have been written. As usual, I have difficulty stringing vignettes together. Sigh. I enjoyed this story very much, thank you. Sam Thank you, Sam. That was well written, lovely, and left me smiling. Thank you! Camy And thank you, Camy...your words, and those of all the readers, left me smiling. It's very rare to get attached to characters in short stories (for me) but the twins turned out to be very likeable. I would love to see what's in reserve for them. I see that in the end, you mean to have a separate story for them... Hmm. If you all keep this up, I may have to abandon plans for these boys to be minor characters, what I said to gardentuber, above, notwithstanding. (I think "notwithstanding" is lawyer speech for "crap, I've got to start over.")
jfalkon Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 I almost wished I had a sibling after reading this. (I have a half sibling I don't really keep in touch with.) That was a cute story.
David McLeod Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 I almost wished I had a sibling after reading this. (I have a half sibling I don't really keep in touch with.) That was a cute story. I think many of us want (wanted) a twin, an alter ego, in whom we could confide anything. That may be the most important aspect of the mature relationships we develop later in life. For the moment, Toby and Greg are going to have typical teen ups and downs; however, I'm on record as liking happy endings. Thank you for your thoughts.
David McLeod Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 What a wonderful "feel good" story! Sam, thanks so much for reading and for your post. I'm a sucker for a happy ending; glad you liked it.
paya Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 sooo... I know you have some health issues but I can't help wondering when you start releasing the new story David...?
David McLeod Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 Nearly ready to go. It's passed the censors.
Palantir Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Beaut story! It's great when you read a story and realise you're smiling when you finish it. Thank you.
