RIP to the 2,953 people killed that day and the almost 1,000,000 American & British Commonwealth troops that perished and the 8,500,000 Soviets.

I remember that day and all the days that came after, as I'm sure many others do.

 

The speech... "The day that will live in infamy".

 

The big bold headline between the banner and fold of the local newspaper one word:

WAR

Yes, I do.... and I remember also Winston Churchill delivering one of his most famous speeches, his first as Prime Minister, in the House of Commons on May 13th, 1940, about "Blood, Toil, Tears and Sweat".

Nobody should forget. WWII began in Europe and all Europeans have to thank USA and particularly FDR , who made the victory against Nazis possible :worship:.
