Krista Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Females that have a strong jaw line, full lips, larger foreheads, and deep set eyes - masculine features can be really beautiful. Men with rounded cheeks, large eyes, an undefined jaw line, and a smaller forehead can be equally beautiful. As far as Modeling goes - the higher paid men have more androgynous aspects to their looks. So in modeling it pays to be Androgynous, the too buff tend to limited in what they can do. The same thing can be said for women, the too busty and hour glass can be limited. As far as my tastes, I like my men to look like men. I can look at a person though and notice their physical beauty that have so many androgynous things about them. Attitudes and personalities hold more weight on my attraction, because I have found myself to be attracted to more than one 'shape' of man.
Menorain Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Androgyny isn't about how a person acts or even about their personality at all. It's about their looks. That's all. It's not that a deep subject, guys XD
StonedOrchid Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 I always thought androgyny meant the person had the potential to appeal to both genders regardless of their own. 1
Stargazer Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Menorain and Orchid, I think you're both right. 1
Tipdin Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Thank you for the thoughtful responses. I've spent too many years in the mental-health field, I guess; too analytical.
hh5 Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Do they have beard and shave often? (4'o clock shadow)
Menorain Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 o.O If they had a beard then they wouldn't have the androgynous look...
Former Member Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I think it depends. Some androgynous people look gorgeous, while others... not so much. But usually, I think they're attractive. I so happen to have found a girl on DeviantArt who's into cosplaying, and that goes for both male and female characters, and it took me a while to find out she was a girl, and not a guy, 'cause she looked so 'natural' either way. But I've always thought her to be gorgeous, so it doesn't really matter to me what her real gender is. As for inner androgyny: I think I'm very androgynous on the inside. My brother and I were joking the other day about how it seems like I have too much testosteron in my system xD Actually, I don't think there are a lot of people, if any, who are 'purely' male or 'purely' female on the inside. But I guess that depends on what we call 'male' and what we call 'female'.
Former Member Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 As a natural born androgyne (intergender)....It's nice when someone does. For me looking at others, it is entirely dependent on their personality in combination with appearance.
Nephylim Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I am wondering whether it has something to do with being bisexual, at least my version of it, but I think that feminie faces are most truly beautiful to me. The men I gasp at are all androgynous and 'manly' men don't really do it for me. Neither do 'butch' women. That goes for personality to. I like my men and women to be emotional, sensitive, vulnerable and soft.
Kev de Cauchery Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 I just like pretty guys. How can one not agree with it.
Zolia Lily Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 I totally get where Tidpin is coming from with this... but for me, sometimes i find labels restrictive. I am a straight woman (well... so far), but I like feminine guys and tomboyish girls (lol, I know i said i was straight, but i can look, right?) (Hmm. maybe this is why i don't like labels...) For me, nothing is more beautiful than someone being themselves and expressing who they are however they want to. And i love the fact that people can choose to reject the norms they are raised with or the norms of broader society. I don't think it means they have to want to be the opposite sex, but i like the blurring of labels and lines. I don't think there should be any to begin with. Of course, i could be waaaay off track here. I'm not exactly speaking from experience (although the idea does hold some appeal for me...). Anyway, i guess i'll just keep holding out for the guy of my dreams... who just happens to be androgynous. If not, i'll settle for one who wants to wear my clothes (although i don't really own many skirts / dresses. I might be a disappointment...) That is, of course, if i don't surprise myself and fall in love with a woman first..... 1
Zolia Lily Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 ps- i forgot to say how much i freaking ADORE Andrej Peijic *sigh*

Amelia Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 I am a straight woman (well... so far), but I like feminine guys and tomboyish girls (lol, I know i said i was straight, but i can look, right?) (Hmm. maybe this is why i don't like labels...) I agree. I identify as straight and I haven't had any true sexual experiences with a woman (beside a few, attention seeking kisses in college - closed mouth). But, I do find myself looking twice at androgynous women or even, "Butch" women. I have even had some vague fantasies that don't get too specific - I have them occasionally though. I also find myself appreciating a beautiful male. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.concreteloop.com/images/2006/ty4.jpg&imgrefurl=http://concreteloop.com/2006/01/new-tyson-beckford-pictures&usg=__bx-6qVP_MEI1dwYP_WsT6LgXwuY=&h=450&w=600&sz=71&hl=en&start=0&sig2=eMqSdIJwIAtH4Y3szErMzA&zoom=1&tbnid=E2TKRASIyZwVNM:&tbnh=142&tbnw=182&ei=3UIfTdqJNoT48Ab5x9HCBA&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dty%2Bbeckford%26hl%3Den%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D635%26gbv%3D2%26tbs%3Disch:1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=522&oei=3UIfTdqJNoT48Ab5x9HCBA&esq=1&page=1&ndsp=21&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:0&tx=102&ty=103 yummy Ty Beckford's eyes are distinctly feminine and those lips, in smaller form, are soo kissable and could easily be on a female's face. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_OMLYyLC8HTo/SOOVvfzltmI/AAAAAAAANqQ/kmtCB7nd8UE/s400/male%2Bmodel.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.model6809.net/foot-modeling.html&usg=__PZ8sf8ZLPwpDsC2HReEl-HcE3vU=&h=400&w=400&sz=28&hl=en&start=22&sig2=jDKvyBC2mWVIzjyt3fdFTQ&zoom=1&tbnid=dYSdOXarWkbFUM:&tbnh=142&tbnw=142&ei=REMfTYisNYWKlwf92fjCDA&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dbeautiful%2Bmale%2Bmodels%26hl%3Den%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D635%26gbv%3D2%26tbs%3Disch:10%2C409&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=370&oei=LEMfTbuPC4K78gaqz_nEDQ&esq=2&page=2&ndsp=21&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:22&tx=84&ty=67&biw=1280&bih=635 gorgeous http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://images2.fanpop.com/images/photos/6500000/Hot-male-models-hot-man-models-6586428-398-297.jpg&imgrefurl=http://model7126.net/fashion-model-posing.html&usg=__tfKyoTN6oDAC-0MKE3EWGyA_xTo=&h=297&w=398&sz=61&hl=en&start=65&sig2=A5lZpm0TnRNNUV-Juw4usQ&zoom=1&tbnid=MOhxGxtnV7oMLM:&tbnh=120&tbnw=161&ei=oEMfTdHPBYSClAeno53-Cw&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dbeautiful%2Bmale%2Bmodels%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D635%26tbs%3Disch:10%2C1746&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=122&vpy=268&dur=649&hovh=194&hovw=260&tx=121&ty=119&oei=kkMfTbMow_fwBoCTyMoN&esq=4&page=4&ndsp=21&ved=1t:429,r:15,s:65&biw=1280&bih=635 another example (sorry about the attachments, I still can't figure out how to really make them work) Its seems a bit much to call androgyny disgusting, even if you aren't particularly attracted to it. I ended up with a pretty masculine looking man for a life partner, but I like to think I can appreciate beauty in many forms.
Stargazer Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 How can one not agree with it. Exactly!!! lol Menorain ... sometimes an androgynous male can look just as androgynous with some scruff. Case in point ... Ashtyn can be totally feminine and also incredibly masculine. I personally love his scruff. 1
Menorain Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Incredibly masculine is a bit of an overstatement, no?

Amelia Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Sorry but for me I can't say that any of those guys are androgynous... pretty in their own ways but not truly androgynous, they are way too masculine Oh, I absolutely agree. My point was that even the men we consider masculine (how many women/gay men can say that Ty Beckford is not gorgeous) have pretty, feminine features. Those eyes could easily be female.
Marzipan Posted January 5, 2011 Author Posted January 5, 2011 How about him? You find these really beautiful people! He's androgyne to me at last, could pass a girl easily in a different context. He's not a she, is he? lol
Nephylim Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 See.... now that is adrogynous. You look at that picture and think... that's a very beautiful woman...and then you look again and think... yeah, that is obviously a man
Kev de Cauchery Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 If his hair is cut short he'd still be androgynous, that's what I think. It's not the hair but the bone structure that speaks 'androgynous' to me.
Nephylim Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Looking again does anyone else think that he looks like Kiera Knightly (no idea on the spelling
