[Dark] Character Playlists

I was just thinking about what the music I play to get me in the mood to write and started wondering if you guys have any songs you relate to any particular character.

 

For example, when writing The One I Want, I ran into "The Tension and the Terror" by Straylight Run and knew I had James' character summarized in that one song. I listened to that song over and over again when he was in a chapter.

 

Then, when setting up Waylon's Crossing, the guy who created Alan's character chose "You are the One" by Shiny Toy Guns as the theme song for Alan and Kynan. I still love that song and I think it's perfect for the two characters.

 

So what do you guys think? Any favorite songs for your favorite characters?

Not in my writing, but when I read The Shining years ago, I was listening to Kim Carnes' Betty Davis Eyes a lot.

 

Every disco I've been in, from Paris to Berlin .. la la la, whenever I hear Kim Carnes I think of the shining, and the film image of the wee guy going down the corridor on his buggy
