Lee Wilson Posted August 27, 2024 Posted August 27, 2024 (edited) A place to discuss @Lee Wilson's story 'The Boy on the Porch.' General discussion, rather than chapter specific comments. I think I've had the most comments per chapter in this Novella than any of my other stories, and it hit on some controversial subjects. With the story coming to a close soon, I hope to get more feedback here. Lee Edited August 30, 2024 by Lee Wilson Added story link 3
RainbowPhoenixWI Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 The story has definitely been a great ride. I'm for sure gonna be sad when it ends. I know I've commented about it before, but I am amazed at how well you handled everything about the abuse. Most of the time when you read a story that has abuse in it it's either glossed over so bad it might as well not be there, or there is so much detail that you get disturbed and grossed out just trying to read it. I could also write forever about your character development. It's so well balanced. For a couple chapters there I was afraid you were going to have the kids grow and develop way to fast just because of the pace of the story. It was an enjoyable to have them keep a natural pace no matter how fast the story was going. I'm sure I'll add more as others start talking, but that's about all I got for on the spot. 3

The fact that my work is appreciated is extremely important to me. There are aspects of my life that get me down, and having a few things, like writing and the comradery here are two things that keep me going. That and one really good friend, keep my heart beating. 2
ben dover Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 This may be somewhat tame overall, but we're not going to let Eve go unpunished, are we? It all started when he hit me back. --Billy Martin 3
