ChromedOutCortex Posted Friday at 08:10 AM Posted Friday at 08:10 AM Hey All - So I found Suno, I know it's not new -- but holy heck! How cool is that! I "made" some music (LOL - if you want to call it that). I cheated, and created a couple of accounts - just having so much fun with it. https://www.suno.com/@chromedoutcortex and https://www.suno.com/@chromedoutcortexexperimental My BF is Korean, so I've been pestering him to help me with lyrics, two of the songs on this "experimental" account are courtesty of him (well, the Korean at least, he helped translate from English > Korean). The songs are Rainbow in the Dark and Fire in the Rain. There are two versions of each. Also created a metal version of a song called Voices of Freedom. I think I'm going to have to spring for a subscription - just having so much fun with it! I'm not a musician, and could probably never do something like this IRL. Enjoy! Would love to read what you think of them. 1 2
E K Stokes Posted Friday at 03:25 PM Posted Friday at 03:25 PM So if I got this right, you wrote the lyrics, your bf translated the verses to Korean (Fire in the Rain ver.1) and the AI composed and performs the music and vocals? It was excellent, wow! 3
Zombie Posted Friday at 07:15 PM Posted Friday at 07:15 PM pop music is a great fit for AI because it’s created within an established framework of rules (the rules of music - melody, harmony, rhythm, structure - and the ‘rules’ of the various pop genres) 1

It was excellent, wow! Correct! I thought it was amazing how it picked up on things, of course you need to use tags and I've seen others do some pretty cool stuff. Also depending on which genre you select, it just uses the right voice. Need to play around with it a lot more, the Sona Subreddit is pretty active with people trying out all types of things to see the results. 1

Apparently you have quite a bit more control, but I don't quite understand how the tags work so I've been listening to other AI generated music and they also show the lyrics and the full structure, so learning from that and from the Sona Subreddit. 2
