A wonderful original fairy tale that is very true to the genre!

Full of humour, it rolls along as it tells the tale of Handsome Knight, his friend Sir Thomas Basketus, and their interaction with a wicked witch.

I especially loved the way the two knights would urge each other on to do the chivarlic thing, when commonsense told them to do something else. :D

It is vaguely possible that there are allusions and innuendo of a sexual nature throughout the story, but I didn't notice lines like: "I then made especially sure his most interesting parts were tenderly tucked in, as any good knight would do." 0:)

Congratulations, W. Randy Haynes -- a masterful fairy tale! :great:

A craftily written story, an exercise in style. From the few clues the author gives at the very beginning, it seems it draws on some modern real-life story told in the manner of the fairy tale. With a happy little gay monastery, and a touching episode of redeeming. The witch's lair is nicely described with all sort of interesting details, like her taste for goblins with warts. :)
