Such a gentleman. On a similar note, I was showering after my workout last night and a guy went into the shower directly across from mine. He left the curtain about 1/4 of the way open just enough so you could see his "maleness" dangling there. He kept soaping himself "down there" and looking at me with the "you interested?" look. No thanks pops, your old enough to be my father. Needless to say, I dried off behind the privacy of the curtain and got out of there as quickly as I could. Ahhh the joys of going to the gym in The Gayborhood.

Haha, I remember this song from my middle school Valentine's Day dance when I was in 6th grade. This song was playing the first time I ever danced with a girl, and her name was Jessica and she was in 7th grade (did that make me a cougar chaser?) I swore at that moment that I was going to marry her some day. And wellllll, things didn't exactly work out that way. I wonder what ever happened to her? I have to disagree. Paterno was the most powerful man at Penn State, and was in the most position to do something to stop the rapes. He deserves the most criticism because he was the boss (essentially). If he had gone to Graham Spanier and discussed how to best handle going to the police about this, and they had gone to the police in a way that also preserved the university's reputation, then fine. But he went to Spanier, they discussed it, and decided to do nothing about it while it continued to happen. Anybody who knew about this and did nothing is guilty, whether it be players, coaches, assistants, etc., but those who were in the position to do the most about it and did nothing, well they deserve to rot in hell. As someone who works with young children for a living, I can't wrap my head around why so many on here and other places defend this man and his program after what he did. It seems to me there are a lot of people who care more about Penn State football and it's reputation then they do about innocent children being violated in a despicable way.

It was $2.25/gallon this morning at the station by my apartment. That is dirt cheap for a Northeastern city.

Never has a pedophile enabler been so defended in public by so many. He knew about the rapes. He went to his boss, who did nothing. He knew he did nothing, and decided not to go the police. Joe Paterno WAS Penn State. He was the most powerful man at the university, but instead he decided to shield his program and his own legacy at the expense of so many children. Sandusky wasn't just fondling children, he was penetrating them! For fuck's sake people, how can you in any good conscience defend this guy?!?!

He did basically nothing when he knew one of his assistants was raping multiple kids over many years. He is a disgrace and doesn't deserve the hero worship he still gets.

I get to watch my Patriots play in their 6th Super Bowl in 15 years. Not bad. Also, Bellichick became the winningest post-season head coach in NFL history with his AFC Championship victory last night. Every other fan may hate the guy, but thats only because they are jealous and wish they had a guy as smart as him as their head coach.

I'm curious why you, as a foreigner, would specifically want to go to Guam or Pittsburgh? These seem two rather random and little known places to people outside the US, and usually foreigners think of America more in terms of New York and Hollywood then anything else.

Hmm, this song is very interesting to me because it is explicitly gay in the 1980s, and I've never heard of it before. According to Wikipedia, it became a Top 40 Club hit in both the UK and the US.

I would think that most of the UK (public transportation wise) is relatively similar to the US. Public transportation is great in and around the major urban centers, and gets sparser as you get farther away from the city and population density drops.

Wow, I too had forgotten all about In The Meantime until I clicked on your link. I freakin' love that song. As to when I would go back to, I would go back to the not-so-long passed year of 2013. So many mistakes were made on my part in my personal life its horrible. They sometimes still come back to bite me now from time to time.

If I had had a library like that to study in during college, I probably would have been a 4.0 student.

But having to pay the bridge toll to go back into PA from New Jersey basically negates any savings. Plus the gas station right by my building is only $2.53, which isn't really all that bad considering its the Northeast. The worst was when I was working out in the suburbs but living in the city. I could have taken Regional Rail, but it would have taken forever to do a reverse commute, so I drove. But I also needed to buy a SEPTA pass because daily living is impossible here with relying on a car to get everywhere. So, I was paying $3.50-3.70 a gallon for gas plus spending the $91 a month for a SEPTA pass. It got so bad that transportation expenses were literally destroying my paycheck on top of having to pay federal, state, AND city wage taxes.

The great thing about the few major cities in America that have good public transportation is not being held hostage to your car and the price of gas. I live a block from a subway stop and there is a bus stop right outside my doorstep. With the crazy traffic and a stop light at every block, its often faster, less aggravating and definitely cheaper to not drive.

When someone only writes a couple sentences about a supposedly "very serious topic", then I call bullshit.

Hmm, the favorite thing I "got" this year was an apartment in the city with my boyfriend. After six months, a whole bunch of $$$, and a lot of man-hours, it is finally starting to come together nicely with decorating and making it feel homey. It now feels more like home to me then my childhood house I spent the first 18 years of my life in. Plus its pretty awesome to have a bedroom where I get to go to bed and wake up every morning with him. My favorite gift is the one I'm going to give my boyfriend for Christmas when he comes up tomorrow to visit. I'm not gonna say what it is on the off chance he decides to log back on and sees this.

Interesting how most people who have posted in here are rural country dwellers. That depends on what your looking for. The US is massive and incredibly diverse. We have everything from hyper-urban places like the cities of the Northeast Corridor to vast rural stretches in just about every corner of the country. You can find every kind of possible living situation in the US, which makes it unique.

He'll be instantly forgotten and cast back into the general pool once the next cute, young white boy comes along on the internet.

This is a classic that will (rightfully) never die. I still hear it played in the gay clubs here from time to time. Here's another classic that has endured the years and still gets play time in the 21st Century. One of my all time favorites.
