  1. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
  2. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
  3. The thing is, you will never find everything you want in one person unfortunately. So we find someone who has a lot of things we want and go from there. Anyway, I've never been in an open relationship and would probably not agree to one. I'm old school and believe in being totally committed to one person. I believe in the whole 'love over sex' bit. From what I've heard and read from others, an open relationship starts out all fun and happy, but it usually winds up with one partner getting jealous which leads to much bigger problems. If it works for some, then great, and then theres some like me who aren't cut out for that sort of "sharing".
  4. Your hair is f**kin' sexy as hell! Hence why you should not get a haircut.
  5. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLEU!!!
  6. The internet is a great place to meet people who you would never meet otherwise. If it weren't for the internet (GA in particular), I would have never met my boyfriend and my life would be vastly different then it is right now. I have also met many great friends who I strictly have just an online friendship with. But I think if a person has nothing but internet friendships and does not interact with and socialize with people in real life, they are spiraling down a sad slope of isolation, failure, and loneliness.
  7. I got myself a keeper.
  8. Yes, college is worth the cost because of several reasons: 1.) It is very hard to get any kind of job without a bachelor's degree. Unless you want to go into the military, be a plumber or electrician (both well paying), or be stuck working construction or other types of strenuous, low-paying jobs, you need a degree. 2.) You meet tons of people and are exposed to all different kinds of people and ideas that you would probably not be exposed to. If anything, it makes you question and/or reinforce your beliefs that you came in with. Also, you meet tons of great friends and have wild weekend parties. 3.) You get to be part of a small group in American society that posses a completion of higher education. So yes, if you can afford it, college is very much worth it. Edit: Also, getting a communications, philosophy, psych (with no plans of grad school), or English literature degrees would simply be wasting your time unless you plan on getting a Ph.D and becoming a professor.
  9. It all depends on the circumstances. If it was a one time thing with someone they didn't know or a drunken one night stand, then I think it is forgivable....under one condition. If they tell you about it right off and admit they screwed up, I think that would go a long way with getting forgiveness. It means they care enough and feel guilty enough to want to tell you and make things right. If they didn't tell you and you had to find out on your own, then I think that would destroy a lot of trust and make it much harder to forgive and rebuild with that person. One thing I think that isn't forgivable in my eyes, is a long, drawn-out, emotional/sexual relationship with someone else. That means the person has obviously lost interest and can not summon the balls to tell their partner they want out. I think long-term cheating is in no way forgivable because it wasn't just a one time stupid mistake. So in essence, I dont believe the whole 'once a cheater always a cheater' bit applies to everyone. But I think being cheated on would require a lot rebuilding of trust between the two partners after the incident.
  10. Its not just events. Its just the general flow of social life. It encompasses much more then the whole notification of events thing. And of course nothing is truly free that has to make money. I'm not stupid. I don't post anything harmful to myself on Facebook. I never swear or put insulting things in my status update. I don't post drunken Friday night keg stand pictures on my profile like some friends I know. I don't post my home address, phone number, or IM account on it either. Everything I have on my Facebook I don't mind other people seeing. I am friends with my parents on Facebook so I do not post stupid stuff that could come back and bite me in the ass later. Exactly.
  11. Well, in college it's a rule of 'Use your Facebook regularly or get left out of half the stuff that goes on'. So, ever since my college days started I have begun using Facebook much more frequently, and I generally check it multiple times a day. Much of my personal info is out there too. Some people from GA I am friends with, but they are ones that I really know (or at least think I do). As for Facebook giving out my info, well I have opted out of several things, but its part of the 'give' of using Facebook as a FREE service.
  12. So while it isn't supposedly physically dangerous, it is dangerous in the ways you pointed out in the end of your post. Anyway, I'm addicted to competition and winning. I love everything about those two things. I seriously hate to lose.
  13. Skiing. I have been addicted since I started at age 3. I've become completely immersed in the culture of it all and during the winter I ski from November to April, usually 4-5 times a week.
  14. Classic Rock Stations have thankfully survived the onslaught of stations that play modern hit music that is 97% shitty music. I will forever love 101.1 in my home state for keeping the great music of the 70s, 80s, and 90s alive! If they didn't I would be stuck listing to Lady f**kin Gaga all day.
  15. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
  16. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
  17. I will if you can find it in the realms of Facebook, cause it is out there.
  18. Me in the Disney Store at King of Prussia Mall.
  19. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM!
  20. Damn!
  21. I really only went on probably three to four "dates" with Cammy. After that it just became times where we would hang out and spend time together. I prefer the latter much more, because the first couple times are the sometimes awkward "getting to know you" stage. I enjoyed not being nervous when I would go see him, and comfortable in the fact that it was like spending time with a best friend.
  22. Thats absolutely fine. You have every right to do that. But like you said, don't expect to be accepted into mainstream society if you do. That was my point. Not hiding who you were, but choosing between being yourself and being accepted into mainstream society if you were radically different.
  23. Whether we like it or not, we can never be fully accepted unless we can be perceived as normal and blending in with mainstream society. Thats just how it works. It is fair. No, but we have to adapt. Why do you think people like these are pushed to the fringe and get weird looks? Because people just can't fathom their radical differences. Eventually over time they will probably be accepted, but for now its just the way it is. Only time can change that.
