No better way to celebrate Brad's Birthday!!!

It seems impossible that Brad would be 48 tomorrow, October 4. I almost forgot. I hope he is alive and well in the CAP world!!

It's so interesting it's not half a million dollar cuff links or a fancy car, it is love, caring and support the things that are priceless and timeless. It's good to see them together again. This time stronger, better. Love always wins out. I am glad it did this time.

I'm hoping Brian is in the WTC. Some of the others could be just in NYC during it but not in the building. I felt the horror even on TV. Being there must have been worse. It would be hard to lose any of the major characters. They are like friends. I am wondering if Max and Father Tim are going away. Back to the Millennium storyline: I think that Brad's half brother Mike the one in the Navy will react positive to Brad. Maybe just maybe Mike and Brad along with Kevin can work on Aunt Alex. If I remember right, JP invited Matt's parents to stay over so that they could get to know the family and look how that worked out. It didn't work with Robbie's mother however. It's a gamble but so is life. I am wondering if we have met Aunt Alex could she be the one who picked up Brandon after he was let go? Mark is writing a mystery and slowly we are getting some of the pieces. Both Millennium and the Box were, however in the Box we were mostly sure Steven died. This story is totally open almost anything could happen. We are looking for clues along the way. I guess that is the reason I check back for a new chapter twice a day.

Again another amazing chapter. I thought that the mastermind was a woman. I think Stef is right about how to handle the situation. Brad should met Captain Mike first. It could be a good beginning. I think I understand the purpose of the story. All this has happened even the evil parts for good. After this maybe Brad will be healed from all his childhood trama. A happier more settled person hopefully with Robbie his soul mate at his side. That would truly be a happy ending. Who is the evil person who told Aunt Alex about Brad? Could it be Brian would he have known about Brad's history?

I think ever since Brad bought Kevin the Boxer. Brad must have known maybe deep down inside but he knew. Down the road Brad and Kevin must confront Kevin's dad. What will happen then? Will the Reverend change his tune? Losing his only son is at stake. Will this bring Robbie and Brad closer? Will we find out who is behind Dan Church? And is all this part of the same evil plan? Mark another great chapter. You only get better and better!!

After reading chapter 30 again, I feel I am watching a fencing match only it is with words not swords. Brad and Robbie have been doing this for more than a month. Their problem is that they are looking past each other, not at each other. They are hurting maybe more hurt than they have ever had before. They are too concerned with guilt and blame that they can't see that if they will ever rebuild their relationship it must be done together. Nothing else will work. They have a great love for each other and the sex is really great too, but if you can't get over the hurt and pain you just become bitter, lonely, sad and unhappy. I believe that love is always worth it. Both of them need to grow up and see that. I really hope they do but this tension is tiring even for the reader. If I was there I would tell them that in no uncertain words. Maybe it is too late for that. Maybe trust can not be restored. But if it can, They could rebuild a fairer better more equal relationship that would last the test of time. And let's face it would be the real happy ending.

Another story with Matt and Wade would be great. Darius, JJ or Will great too. Maybe a story about John Carrol and Barry and Harry in Ohio.

I think its a combination of temperment and situation. I have a friend who was divorced when her children were young about the same age as Brad and Ace were. Later she had problems with them, one even joined a cult. Jeff left and died, Maybe that affected them more than JP thought. As for Brad's children they had a more stable home life except for the short time Bitty came back into their lives. Seems like Brad was worried about JJ during that time. Darius is a good person to be the oldest child. He is a leader and has a lot of common sense, very grounded. JJ seems to have from his mission, skating, and Will coming out in many ways. thanks to Drew. Great group of guys. Children and grandchildren to be proud of.

I agree with you, but you knew there was going to be a but Brad and Billy and Clare grew up in the sixties and seventies a much more permissive time in this country. I wonder why Clare turned out so good? JP's genes? I also remember Ace not being as much a hot head as later on. Maybe that was Brad keeping him in check. Darius makes a comment to Brad about his friends kidding him about his two dads. I am wondering if that was worse back in the 70's, I am not saying JP is perfect. Almost maybe, but for someone who never thought that he would have a family and kids I think he did really good. If things would had worked out different Billy could have lived and grown up and he and Brad could have laughed about the dumb stuff they did in high school, but that was not meant to be. If Isidore and JP would have worked together again things would be different. Things are not perfect in the Brad, Robbie and Jeanine household but the boys are more of a team. Maybe as they grow old they will drift apart, but I think the bond they have will remain strong.

I was wondering when did you start writing CAP? It seems that it has been around forever. I am so glad you did. You've enriched the lives of so many people. Many more than you will ever know.

I am proud of Gunn. It shows that there is hope for humanity. I have never understood why people hate other people they don't know. Love is so much stronger in the long run and will always over come hate. Hitler fell because he was only about hate. It took almost the whole world, millions of lives, but it happened. I am happy Brad learned that lesson too, when dealing with Dan Church.

I agree I think Brad's kids are doing better than he did but that's not JP's fault. I can not image what is must have been like for Brad those first six years. For a mother to hate her child and instill that in her two oldest children is unbelievable. I doubt if Brad would have survived if he would have stayed in that situation. Given everything Brad turned out pretty good. It seems Robbie has more problems. It seems the Hayes family is more unstable. I am glad we are getting to know Darius, JJ and Will better than we ever got to know Billy. Billy died too early. We never understood what was happening with him, which was sad.

I can't believe it. Mark you did it again! mmmmm Drama!

I agree I always thought nothing would top Bloodlines. It was the best. However, I have to change my mind. Millennium has taken the crown away. Ever since Brad took the axe to Robbie's car, the chapters are getting better and better. I doubt if Mark can write a better chapter then he does. Can any of you think of something better than this? Any place , any where? As I was reading this last chapter (26) I was wonder who is Brandon's mommy? Is she just a bystander? Or is she more than that. I wonder if we have been mislead. Just as Brad thought this was only about him, I am thinking this is more than just a personal attack. It maybe be an attack on the whole family. Maybe from the past. From Ohio? Someone has been planning this for a very long time. I wonder if It could be a women. A women from the long past? Didn't Jim , JP's brother have child which the mother had to leave town? As the story unfolds we are left with more questions. A mystery. Our guys love a mystery almost as much as we do. You can't tell me they will not give up until they know who is behind this plot to bring them down. This maybe only the first of many battles. 58 chapters is a lot of time to find out. Thanks Mark again for such a great story and a great group of characters to be with along the way. I am looking forward to another great chapter soon.I can tell there is much more of the story to tell.

As I said before, Mark you are only getting better and better!! Chapter 25 is great!! I could close my eyes and see Robbie and Brad fight and reason together. I am so glad Robbie is better than ever. Maybe after all this their relationship will be stronger than ever. I like the new Brad but I even like the new Robbie better.

If you're editing two problems in Land Whore Brad's eyes are blue. And I think in MIM during the wedding of Clare and Jack you have a reference to Clare and Brad as if they are getting married.

The way I see Brad is a person with flaws but because or inspite of those flaws he has over come. I can relate to Brad I was an adopted child and very shy as a kid. Just like Brad I have worked hard to over come that shyness. I did not have Brad's torchured childhood but like Brad I was placed in a loving home. Like Brad my temper can be great however I don't destroy cars. Above all Brad is one of the people you would like as your friend. That is what makes him so endearing. Under all the problems and difficulties is a truly good, kind, and loving person. Oh and even at 37 is still as hot as heck. Or as Matt said a walking wet dream. When Brad is at his best he is really good whether it is in the boardroom and in the bedroom.

Just because you don't believe in something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. What is God anyway? Native Americans thought it was a life force. Like in May the force be with you. I could say more but this is not the place or the time. Soup box put away.

Chapter 24 ended with Robbie appearing just before Dan arrives, Why is Robbie there? What reason could he have? How dumb is he? Can Brad think fast and use it to help their plans? Will Brad stage a fight with Robbie for Dan to see? I think Dan hates Robbie more than he hates Brad. Can Brad think fast and make Robbie's appearance work to further the plan? At this point only God and Mark know. Mark that puts you in pretty good company.

A weird thought a number of these weird Christian Churches are out to get Gay business people like Stef and Brad. Again we are looking for one person with a lot of money not a group of people pooling their money. Just read chapter 23 amazing both Brad and Stef are top of their game. I am blown away by how great the story line has become. Unbelieveable.

Whoever the true mastermind is has planned this for years and knows a lot of things about the family and each member. Brad thinks its an attack about him I am not so sure. We have Dan Church ( former lover) Lark ( former best friend and part time lover) John and Janet Granger ( Max's parents who would be more upset with Marcel and Robbie because they rescued Max on Christmas Eve) Brian ( JP's half brother who is mad at Matt Robbie's son ) Rev Carmichael ( who I believe is Brad's half brother and whose childhood maybe ruined by his father's affair ) and the two spies Carson and Brandon ( could they be lovers and related in some way? They are to evil to be just hired hands ) The big question is who has the money to do it? I am not sure the answer is back in Ohio. If I remember Jim's ( JP's brother ) wife was Bill Hendrickson's daughter so I doubt that the attack comes from that family. Robbie's mother and her Rev. husband have a axe to grind as does part of the Hayes family none of which has that much money, do they? A few other things: the person who has been hurt the most is Robbie. He is a mess. He could loose his business, lover, and family and be left with nothing. Part is this is his fault however Brad's throwing guilt at him all the time is not helping. If their relationship had been solid as they thought it could not have been wreaked so easily. David need's to point this out. David is another person who knows all the facts Things would be better if Brad was ready to listen to JP. JP forced Brad to deal with Nick. Even though I thought Nick was part of the plan I am glad he is not. I guess we have to remember that Nick was screwed up by his mother. That is one reasons that I think the Rev Carmichael is Brad's half brother. Look how much Brad's life was ruined by guilt over the affair, could not Brad's father.s family been hurt too? When Bloodlines came out I thought it was the best part of the saga. Now I believe that Millennium takes the crown. Mark you are only getting better and better. PS I loved how you handled the situation with Matt and Brad. It only made me prouder of both Brad, Matt and you. I sorry for ever doubting you. I should have known.

A great chapter! Mark has always believed in second chances and redemption. If Nick is really a changed person,( still don't trust him totally) maybe they (him and Brad) can help each other. Both with trouble relationships and young gay sons. Maybe Nick can get Brad to forgive Robbie. So Brad and Robbie can rebuild their life. Did something happen? JP is retiring and Brad becoming the head of the family? As for Brandon, and his crew I am hoping for a special place in hell, honestly I can think of the lot and very painful evil things for them. Maybe just put them for in a cage at the zoo and throw away the key. I could be wrong but I am but I see and new Brad coming out of all this. Not the out of control Brad hitting the car, but Brad in control, powerful and happy. Maybe he will be able to deal with all the ghosts of the past ( his mother and sister) and became what he needs to be, the new head of the family. Personally, only a good writer like Mark can take us on a ride like this. Ups and downs, cliffhangers, and surprises. Why go to Six Flags or Valleyfair when You got it all here and more.
