  1. I can not say how unhappy it will be. Bloodlines could have been a 100 chapters I can't get enough of Matt and Wade.
  2. Sorry to correct you Mark but it was Pat Robertson not Jerry Falwell who I believe is dead. Neither one of them are my favorate people.
  3. After rereading a whole saga many times I am very impressed how the different stories fit together so well all ready. Thanks to you and your great team. It will be very interesting what changes you make.
  4. Well here goes. I think where is a great differnece between faith and religion. Some people use organized religion as a weapon which it was never meant to be. Faith is much different. There is a MCC church near me here in Minneapolis those sign asks the question what would Jesus do? Jesus would accept everybody no matter what. God is love pure and simple and love is love. I also belong to the LCMS a small accepting congragation with people who really care about each other. Not all Lutheran Churches do that. Not all churches do that. Not all religions do that. But they all should. When Frank was talking to Matt parents at Thanksgiving he said JP and his family over the years showed that love. JP may not be religious but he does have faith in people. He cares he loves. Thank you Cody for bringing this up. As Gay people so many times we feel rejected by religion and churches, but it is very important we don't feel rejected by God. We may reject him at times but he never rejects us. Never.
  5. Since Whist is not a full professor, could he be forced to leave Stanford? I think after thanksgiving Brian as way beyond redemption. I am wondering how Mark will tie everything up in only two chapters. Hopefully, the next part of the saga will to include Wade and Matt. They are becoming my very dear to me. Maybe even more than Brad it pains me to say that, I love Brad a lot. JP is still on top but Wade is second and that is saying a lot. Again I will be really sad to see Bloodlines end. Mark and his team is only getting better and better.
  6. Again killing off Brian is like a two edged sword. He may get what he deserves but will JP feel guilty about it forever?
  7. I vote for Brian and Benjamin maybe two with one blow. Killed by Robbie's mother's pastor,
  8. Here it is five am and I am rereading chapter 51 again. It is one of the most powerful chapters I have ever read. If we are to believe the Senator which I do it took a great deal of courage for him to visit Wade. As odd as it may seem I believe it was his love for Wade which forced him to act. It would be so easy just to continue the hate. But hate takes a lot of energy. Neither Wade or the Senator really hate each other. I believe now that Matt has broken the cycle of abuse both the Senator and Wade can heal. Should Wade forgive his father? Yes in time he must. Wade has been damaged. hurt but not broken, Even this horror has caused him to grow, to love. Both Matt and Wade have gone through hell but they will be better stronger for it. Together they are stronger maybe the best partners in the saga. They are starting to compiment each other. Mark that means you can't kill Matt off.
  9. I have read and reread the saga over and over it only gets better. When you think it can't be better you top it again and again. I like Matt a lot now Wade is , even better. And maybe its their closeness to JP, their devotion for each other, their love. Wasn't it Cody who said something about great guys falling from the sky. Here are two of them, hopefully they will be as happy as Stef and J.P. or Brad and Robbie. I can see a bright future for them. I wish there were more like them in real life. I will be very sad when bloodlines ends. Only two more chapters! Redemption and forgiveness are good for both the forgiven and those who forgive. Thanks again Mark for this awesome gift, the whole CAP saga.
  10. I have grown to love Matt a lot, but I am thinking I love Wade even better. Maybe the next story will be Wade and how he will change the world for all of us. Wade meets Obama.
  11. The only good thing is that people live longer now days. The question is can it end. I one for will be very sad if it does.
  12. I still feel a huge problem is coming. Brian. Evil is waiting to pounce. I wonder if JP with have to deal with Brian perminantly. no redeeming Brian he's to far gone. What buried secrets will come out?
  13. Again, you prove that good guys do finish first. George is truly a good person. I have a feeling threeways are in the offing/After all its a long trip to India, :D
  14. Matt is a son and friend to be very proud of. I was just reading Be rad and it reminds me of Brad confronting Sam. Mark I think you got another lion here. I think the family is in good shape for a long time with JP, Brad and Matt. Thanks for this great chapter. I can't wait to see what will happen next.
  15. Maybe Mark you could ask which part of the storys we like the best. The seine in MIM where JP and the boys come home to Clairmont for the last visit to his mother. Marie telling Brad she can die now that she knows he and JP will take care of the people she loves. Finally her death in JP's arms and the service after. For all Brad's falts it only makes him more human. I am rereading 1968, which is not my favorate because Jeff dies. I like Jeff a lot. Maybe thats why I like Matt because he reminds me of Jeff. Jeff, Matt amd Brad have a passion for life and love. I guess even JP who has that passion too, maybe repressed but its there. Mark you've shown us that family is not onlya husband, wife and two and a half kids. Its people you love and care about. It also about redemtion and second chances like with Mouse and Marcel. Hopefully MAtts parents will wise up and understand what they've lost is much more inportant that who Matt goes to bed with.
  16. I think you have something very interesting planned with Wade and his brother. More adventers I can hardly wait!
  17. Its so hard to pick the best I have read and reread them all many times. Some are priceless so good its almost like you are there with Brad, Stef or JP. I think I like Matt the best maybe because everything is new fresh and exciting. Chapter 36 was the worst time in his life and 37 is the best in his life. Matt is a new friend among old trusted friends. You know that Brad, Robbie, JP or Stef will not let Matt down. They are family through and through. What my mother would call good people. People you can trust with your life. Maybe that is the reason we love them so. You can never have enough of those type of people in your life. Thanks again Mark!
  18. Sorry if anyone is from West Virginia but I have been there one summer some years ago and it was the worst trip I have ever had. Hot really hilly and a placw I would never return to. Sometime there or places and things worse than death.
  19. Maybe going back to his horrible worthless life in West Virginia would be a better punishment
  20. what is sad that it reminds me of holidays of past. It is really too bad that some people use religion as a tool and lose its real message which is love. After this time maybe every one will be eating it their room. Too many bad memories.
  21. Marcel is Jeff's son. I much as I liked Jeff he was unstable. I think drugs only made matters worse.
  22. Mark, the greatness of Bloodlines and CAP saga is the interaction of the different charactors. Two things have bothered me in Bloodlines. Both are relational. JPs close relation with Matt and Brad's relationship with Matt. I think that JP sees Matt as himself 35 years ago. Rich young smart and gay but more Matt is a Hayes, Jeff's nephew. Even though Jeff died 30 years ago he is still there in both Stef's the JP's lives. I believe JP 35 years ago thought he might have a lover but never thought he would have a family. Jeff was the one who urged JP to go to Paris and see Isidore and her baby Andre. JP brings her back the Chicago and the beginnings of a family is born. Jeff again is the father of Billy and pushs JP and Claire is born. After they move Brad is dropped off like a unwanted item. The poor 5 year old bonds with JP and Stef. Brad studies JP and maybe becames a more perfect JP. Both are loyal, they hold thier emotions inside, but to both of them family is important, very important They would defend their family to the death. The confirtation between Brad and JP is very telling. Matt thought maybe Robbie would accept him but never thought Brad would. Why does he? Once Robbie accepts Matt he is Brads son too. I think Brad sees not only as his son but also as Brad was 18 years before. In a sense all three are alike. I that's the reason I have always like them the best. One of the things I like the most is how the charactors draw you in. Mark you are not just a writer but a storyteller you can make your story live It brings joy to all of us. Makes us laugh and cry at the same time. That truly is great.
  23. Mark you did it again. Way to go Brad. Only a tight caring family could survive that confrontation. Brad has bonded with Matt even more than Robbie. JP once said Brad was the child that gave him the most trouble growing up. I'm not sure about that. Brad's sense of justice is clearer than JPs. Also notice that Claire is the other power person. She sided with Brad this time. when JP told his family who his real father was she sided with JP. If JP is wrong he learns from it and regroups. Matt is learning very important lessons he will need later. Thanks again Mark for two greater chapters and showing us that some things like family what ever it maybe are important to fight for.
  24. I agree Brad has taken Matt into his family just like JP took Brad in all these years ago. I am sure none of us want J.P gone. People live to hundred now days and JP could and I hope will. I think Mark has shown us many time how much Brad is like JP. Now I think Brad sees Matt very much like he was in 1980.
  25. A sobering thought would Brad be a grandfather and JP and Stefen great grandfathers?
