Ho ho ho! . Christmas in Paris, the city of love. Nostalgia as well. The young men enjoyed the latter part of their stay on the island. A time of getting to know each other. A time of innocent enjoyment; the thrill ofswimming with orcas, the thrill of the hunt. Is there a yearning now to re-live their good memories of the island? Maybe a wedding there? -
Great episode. The reward that Miller was waiting for- doubled. And a promise from Silas that next time he would take his time...

Dont spend too long in the shower with Isaac, Mickey. It's not too big a step for I AM CHAOS to move from being MESS HALL COMMANDER to CAPTAIN OF THE SHIP!

When all is over, and Mickey and Isaiah take off for some well deserved "R & R" shall we call it , the Vixen will definitely be in the safe hands of Dmitri and gremlin. Though under the supervision of Jesse hopefully.

The end of the walk? Maybe. But the start of something deeper? Time out for Julien to reveal more of his life to Oliver? An incapacitated Oliver to accept finally he does not need control in his life but freedom from it? A time for both to take stock of their need for each other?

One should never underestimate the gremlin. He is after all the great I AM. Provided he has BEANS and a SPOON. And a kindred spirit in Dmitri.

" Mum said ..... you didn't care about anything ." " I cared," he said. " I just didn't know how to show it ". A lovely father son moment at a time of danger. Mickey is finally growing up. Into his loving father role for Dmitri. Into his loving boyfriend one for Isaiah.

Both young men are blessed in having such loving parentage. OK styles somewhat different from each other but real love nonetheless.

Karl has experienced the kind of loving he has wanted but held back from for years. Tom does not expect him to rush back but to take his own time. "My door is open. No expectations. Just us". Karl however now has a secret, and come out it will. Honestly by telling his wife himself; by her smelling a different scent on him; or by someone seeing and reporting where he goes? And a woman scorned....

A tender lyrical episode of one man finding his inner self with another. Easily gently and lovingly. Hoping for a new free life away from the loveless marriage he is trapped in.

Lovely interlude at the river. Mannly in the playroom? After his experience at the hands of sadistic bullies? Mmmm. I wonder. -
Festina lente Another lyrical chapter. Both men finding delight in walking and nature and in their evolving relationship. Beautiful.

The distances between the two men are closing. Escaping the constrictions both have built around themselves. Oliver has made a good start but Julien has yet to unburden himself. Still a way to go.

Now we know in the mix we have two children ( ok three if you count in Mickey) . Dmitri tearful scared but plucky using his skills as a gamer to aid the escape of the Vixen; Gremlin BEANLESS SPOONLESS scared but from an aggressive species. "I still have TEETH. I will BITE". And now another grown up. Jesse joins the fray. All will be well. Great fantasy.

Interestingly, Julien speaks of climbing, considering the mountain as a host, himself as a guest. This draws a parallel to his relationship with Marie, she saw herself as a guest, Julien as host. Oliver is opening up more to Julien, becoming more " honest". Julien is still more of a closed book. -
Still Standing in a Field

Slowly Oliver and Julien are freeing themselves from the self imposed restrictions each had placed on previous relationships. There is a greater ease between the two. Oliver is in love with Julien who has more to reveal. Another lovely lyrical chapter. -
"Omnia vincit amor: et nos cedamus amori." Virgil. A pleasing ending to an enjoyable, engrossing , detailed story lyrically told. Thank you.

Oliver has developed so far emotionally from the one we met at the beginning of his walk. Then it was to get away from his ordered life. Now, a different chapter is beginning hopefully for him and Julien. " The days were bringing them somewhere Oliver didn't know and for the first time in his life not knowing was something he could hold without converting it to a plan." There have been looks and touches from Julien and a promise, but Oliver is happy with the man just "... breathing beside him in the dark." Another impressive and well paced story.

What an inspiring chapter. I find the way you handle your characters so delightful. And I just love the way you have portrayed Kidd's absolute joy; like a young child's waking on Christmas morning and finding his Xmas present to be just what he'd asked Santa for! Perfect, just perfect. -

The heat is increasing but the stars are still turning. I think the choice for Marcus is one I wouldn't want to make. Does he have one ? Over the story I have warmed towards Cameron, but .... -

A chapter of more surprises and architectural wonders! Jesse commissioned to bring back Isaiah to the fold! Guardians of the Tomb on war alert! But I have no fear for the safety of our intrepid explorers. Not when there is one Gremlin left standing wielding a SPOON!! Heaven help the cosmos if it ever finds a full canteen of cutlery! Or even a set of fish knives.

Opprobrium. As a survivor of such a shameful defeat as Teutoburg and a known associate of the man who inflicted that defeat, Marcus' future is in jeopardy. As indeed is that of his family. Guilt by association has been the downfall of many a family and Livia's courtship could fail. For many, exile would be the answer and Marcus' father is moving him to their estate in Pompeii away from any immediate repercussions in Rome. Marcus is taking with him his grief and leaving behind the love and solace of his family. Will Marcus find any consolation in Pompeii?
