    Great chapter, introducing Cameron to big city. Cameron and Marcus enjoy sex with each other and it was touching the way Cameron comforted Marcus when he was crying over Sean. But will Cameron, who seems to have a big appetite for life be seduced by the city and what it has to offer him? Can he resist the temptations? Will he be able to return to country life? Does Marcus want to return to the city? Or will he find a settled life with Ryan is really what he needs? So many questions to be resolved. Great story developing.

    A campaign with baggage train and family into generally unknown territory is going to be slow and open to guerilla attacks, such as Marcus and Ingomar have already experienced. Varus believes in the surety of information he has received and in the invincibility of the Roman army ,and refuses advice from his battle experienced general. Marcus and Ingomar must make the most of their time together before the storm hits.

    Should by now expect the unexpected. But how can I when the unexpected is so far ahead of the unexpected that I was expecting or should that be unexpecting that .... I'm reading this before breakfast. I'm going to have a liquid one, Angelo's followed by Cecil's followed by Angelo's. Oh my.

    Are Chihuahuas any good at giving full body massage? I'm sure Marcus would be a very Hot Dog. And Matt's defence of Simon with a folding chair seems to me brilliant. Who hasn't struggled with deck chairs and finally surrendered and just sat on the sand. As for Pip rebooting. Who hasn't in the early days of office computerisation really wanted to tell tecnical support for treating you like an idiot when they ask you is it plugged in exactly where to shove the plug. And the political party so lovingly mentioned from time to time? Im sure room could be found alongside the said plug.

    Just when I thought you had wrung every possible emotion out of me I found myself weeping with joy alongside Matt at the adoption centre. Real tears. Laughter is always bubbling up and often explosive when I read your tales, but this was - happiness. Thank you.

    A match made in heaven for Charlie and Pip! It's a good job that Simon is on the ball keeping the family records updated, for they are becoming increasingly complicated with each addition to the family.

    Another fun filled day! And another adoptee, hopefully. The cherub needs to be removed from its cold uncaring parents and given the unconditional love of the Hartley extended family. Will this be extended to Simon's gremlin cohort?

    "I think world peace is achievable". Well not at the moment in Room 402. But Simon will colour code and organise the chaos there, probably before the troops and the heavy artillery and light cavalry ( squeaking duck floatie) arrive. Good practice for a future Gen. Sec. of the U.N.?

    A growing split among the Cherusci for and against their alliance with Rome. And for the two young men, one a Roman one a "barbarian", whose relationship has already become serious, a choice. They are rapidly reaching a crossroads and will need to choose a path. Will it be the same one? Or will they choose their "pro patria "allegiances over their relationship? This is an engrossing tale putting flesh on the bare bones of history.

    The orca is the MVP. And rightly so. I still think of the island as a magical one.

    I have all along expected the orca to help with a fitting end to the the madman Dale and his twisted designs. Now Connor and Jamie need to recuperate from the brutal beatings they have received, and investigate further just what the island is about.

    Any abuse of another person is apalling. The sad thing is it often never comes to light and remains a blight on that individual's life. Abusers are bullies and need to be exposed and punished. A raw and powerful story. Bravo.

    Much mating to come. An abashed and chastened Orion,with his yet-to- be-met match; Luc and Zuma re-aligning ,re-igniting their past; Nos and Cal - get it together soon guys -on their way to consummation. All good stuff. And I am taking advice from Cal and Savvie and refraining from giving my neighbour the friendly finger-wiggle wave i usually do. Mind you she probably thinks its arthritis!

    Frank the horse whisperer will no doubt be pillow whispering sweet nothings into Rhett's ear very soon. I am inrigued by the description of the angry young man in "dark dust- covered tattered clothing". As if he has walked a long distance. Not the well dressed truck riding holier than thou 'christians' we have encountered so far. Yes he spooked Midnight, yes he hurled a rock, not at the horse but at the gate, and his anger was presumably directed, from the obscenity he yelled, towards Jake personally? Someone from Jake's past and not the present confrontations?

    Tyler back as the steadying rock of the family. Taine in his arms. Simon and co. with Matt in his/ their arms. Charlie with his half demon baby Lord, and Pip for him in the wings, once he's finished wrestling with Lynix. We've just had great closure on another amazing flight of imagination.

    The rescue plan is being put into action. My image to take to bed tonight. Sadly Matt was otherwise engaged but if he were to have been with Simon and Taine would he ( as an apprentice butcher) have worn a real pork pie?
