  1. Home IS where the heart is. Whether it be a palace or one room. Ryder and Owen have found their home and that is with each other. I hope their love for each other grows stronger. They are young, from differing backgrounds , and will have difficulties to face and problems to be solved. Life is not always an easy ride. But Good Luck!

    Lightness

Oh Jack! you slay me ( NOT literally, I mean with laughter, out loud, during his rescue by Vince). What a great double act! And I love that Skarg prepared a soft landing for them. Even if it was squishy-squashy! Theo has now found his way forward at last. I look forward to the reunion of our intrepid 4some.
  3. Wow! It actually happened! As planned! As someone who has not liked Margot in the past I now take my hat off to her. And I applaud Ryder not just for turning up despite being dishevelled and covered in oil, but for being THE MAN who walks up to Owen - who might just have stood there like a spare (whatever) at a wedding - and takes his hand. So simple an action but one that let everyone know that not only Margot has told truths but that Owen has a boyfriend - a MANFRIEND. Bravo to Beth and especially Paige. ( As an aside. I wonder if the reception's been videod? Now that would be something to show at family er.... reunions? ) Great story great writing.
  4. You gotta love her . Though would hate to be on the rough end of Shir's tongue if she really let go. Heart of gold that woman. Sad that religion has been and still is the cause of so much hurt when it should be a uniting force for good. And sad too that founded as a place of love and hope, Two Spirits needs to arm itself for defence. Now not only against the men wanting to harm Mannly but against any religious fervour stirred up by Shayna's mother. Tough times ahead.

    Chapter 2

Interesting introduction. From the sheltered pampered life of Roman nobility to the hard life of the Roman legions has the making of a great tale.
  6. Wow. Sweet delightful encounter. But how is Marcus going to choose between the two brothers? One settled the other footloose. Or need he indeed choose?

    Chapter Thirty

This has been a long ride. I am exhausted. I need to lie down and sleep for 24 hours to prepare myself for the revelations at the wedding. And the fallout. Why do I not feel optimistic? Shall I just bury my head in the sand and wait out the next chapters?
  8. Wow . A hot and erotic chapter. Two men who are attractive and attracted to each other. And I love that Nico has not forgotten Ivo and willingly brings him into the equation. This is going to be one hell of a love story.
  9. I am overwhelmed and saddened by this chapter. And particularly by the way Owen's reacted to Ryder's attempt to get him enrolled for the education course. " You dont understand what it costs .......There's nothing left for you to lose ". How could Owen even think that, nevermind say something so hurtful and lacking in empathy. Ryder knows exactly what there is to lose; because he's suffered it for five years. And sadly I am losing patience with Owen. He has found someone who cares for him enough to offer to help him financially through college even if it means extra work and foregoing any chance of his own career. Ryder is doing this for love of Owen. For heaven's sake Owen you're not a child. Act like a man and do the right thing NOW. Or suffer the consequences and lose Ryder.

    Explorers

Hmmm. Let the explorations continue as we learn more about the residents. And about our intrepid investigators! Very promising developments there!!
  11. Oh my! Expect the unexpected. But Margot is still controlling the narrative. Hey perhaps Owen could come in stoned smoking a joint draped all over Ryder. As for Jules..... Margot's plan has all the makings of a bust up of two families who because of their morality will never, perhaps should never , forgive Owen and Margot for marring Paige's wedding day. And who is likeley to get most of the blame?
  12. Great chapter. I'm hoping that Owen is finally finding his way with Ryder's help. And getting off his backside and is going to DO something at last. Colin for his age is most perspicacious. He is going to be the catalyst in this mess with Ryder and his family. Are we approaching a happy ending?
  13. To have a family like Two Spirits is indeed a blessing. Some beautiful spirits there. But how inspiring that they rally round in love to protect Mannly and each other; and how sad that it is necessary.

    The Right Fit

A slow-burn tale. I love the comfortable attraction the three men are feeling in the moment. The development of stronger feelings is something to look forward to, with maybe apprehension for we know little of the relationship of Nico and Ivo.
  15. I'm a doubting Thomas. This I will only believe when and if it happens. Nothing will be resolved in the 4 meeting together. But I can see Colin inadvertently revealing something on Facebook.
  16. Owen after his day with Ryder is in a state of euphoria. This will soon evaporate when he gets back home to the realisation that nothing has changed for him there. He still does not know what to do. Tell his parents he has spent the day making love with his boyfriend? Hardly! What kind of help can he get from Beth? A shoulder to cry on? Beg Margot to release them both from the engagement? She has her own agenda. Confide in Eric? Mmmm

    Physicality

Looking forward to see how Harry interacts with both Nico and Ivo. Trouble ahead or pure delight.
  18. Interesting start. Promising some good developments.
  19. Wait a moment. Glitter? An amusing eposode, light relief in a tale of darkness. But I do love the characters of Jack and Vince.
  20. A leopard cannot change its spots. Margot is still the selfish manipulating person (or whatever else you'd like to call her) she has always been. She has no respect or love for Owen or for anyone but herself. Owen is 'grateful ' to her for " a day off". For interceding with Ryder. She has a game plan and she will follow it through to the bitter end. So will she f up the day off for Ryder and Owen?
  21. Great developments. Love what is happening between Connor and Jamie. But I've always believed they were not alone. They have explored themselves but not the island. A woman ? Is she another survivor from the wreck? Or (Wo)Man Friday? Do we even know what day it is? What is this going to do to two straight (?) guys ? Can't wait to find out!!!!
  22. Thank you Summerabbacat. Agree to disagree on music. I enjoy classical music, opera and ballet/dance. And jazz. As for Mills and Boon. I worked in libraries and a slow Friday evening working with a couple of female colleagues was always enlivened by us picking up a M and B. Picking out who was going to end up with whom and finding all the lovely and hilarious cliches. "His eyes crawled across her body" always broke us up and we'd spend the rest of the shift in near hysterics. Thanks for the reminder.
  23. I enjoy wine, double espressos and a good size Cointreau Noir. Alcohol aside, I am a romantic at heart and enjoy Hallmark films. That IS sad. I am loving the slow development of this story and all the characters at the ranch. I want to hug them all for the kindness - no, the love - they are sharing with Mannly, with Jake and each other. Mannly's horrific experience will not be easy to forget or forgive. But with the warmth around him, and ,though he has yet to recognise it, the beauty of the love that Jake is offering him .....

    Hurly-Burly

I am regularly amazed by your writing. Well told short stories packed with love and your trademark humour. They leave me smiling and feeling happy. What more could one ask?
