This was really touching. I liked how they turned their misfortunes into something positive.

I had a feeling that the three teens had a sexual relationship between them. I hope that the bond stays strong.

I don't see how Kieren doesn't see himself that he's a descendent with all of the special attention. There's no other plausible explanation even from his point of view. If you could give us a bit of warning for graphic sexual violence in future chapters I would appreciate it. I think it's gratuitous so I'll be skipping it.

This was brutal. I can't quite like it but I am interested in reading more and how the future brings about the deaths of the evil invaders.

I truthfully shed tears when Andy died. What an amazing emotional chapter.

The double standard of Button and Sarah's relationships got Craig and Graham into hot water I see. The dads need to figure out a fair solution or Sarah is going to rebel (although it's going to happen anyway). I hope that Brent and Andy work out or at least part amicably in the future. I think it fits that Andy is bisexual. He's also not the type to cheat or mess around and an S.O. so I don't think Brent needs to be worried. Finally with Button. Yay Mirabelle! I'm so happy that she knocked some sense into him. Hopefully Button gets over his objectification of women after this. Btw, the subtle classism you've woven into the story is very well done. It adds a lot of realism to the story.

Yeah! It was Mirabelle and Button didn't lose his virginity to a tramp. It's amazing how his character has developed so strongly. Many guys with his looks and popularity would have used them to screw as many women (or men) as possible. I'm happy that he's doing well and made the right choice. I also forgot that he's a bit older than his peers due to his developmental delays. We finally see full proof of his progress given his IEP meeting (point of order though, was there a general education teacher present? It's required). Will 17 be the age he and Mirabelle lose their virginity? Maybe prom in 2 years? I'm still really looking forward to the next chapter. Finally how many chapters do you have planned? 18? 21? Thanks!

Great chapter. My heart aches for Kevin. I hope that he finds someone. The party was well done. It's pretty typical to have your first binge drinking experience with college kids. I had mine at a summer camp staff party at 16. As for chapter 16, I'm looking forward to the party because of your hint but you've shown us that you're willing to mislead us with the chapter previews.

I enjoyed the peek into an adolescent's mind as he tries to find out his sexuality. It was innocent yet believable.

No Kevin perspective huh? I hope the kid's mom is understanding. Being gay and having to live under the shadow of homophobic parents would be crushing. Button is truly blessed in his ability to go to his dad to discuss his feelings. That is an incredible amount of emotional trust. It also seems that his coping skills and maturity have reached normative levels. I have hope for him yet (and even though he's interested in girls I'm still on the Kevin and Button train. Maybe he actually is bisexual). I didn't see Brent's sexuality coming but then again we only get a glimpse of the kid's lives once every year. Josie's support was touching as well. Finally Andy is blossoming too! I hope he finds someone. Great chapter and I can't wait until next week.

What a bombshell. I'm sad that Kevin is insecure enough to spread lies about Button after he pursued him. It's interesting that he's at that age where he's figuring out where he lies in the sexuality spectrum. (I'm now rooting for a developing 15-16 year old relationship between the two) Camp seemed like it was really good for Button. He realized that he's well liked and that he can be a leader if he wants to be. Great chapter and I can't wait until next week.
