I hope Luca survives. Eamon will at least kill the assassin but I agree with other comments- he should have protected Luca much better. Looking forward to book 2! Do we have an eta on when it will be out?
Depression is a scary thing. Luckily Chelsea has a large group of people for support. Right now she's managing her feelings but I hope she doesn't do anything drastic in the future.
I really appreciate the slow progress to trust Silas is going through. It shows realism and a depth that sets this story apart from others. Hopefully Amy and Ian don't push too hard (but just hard enough). Thanks for the update. I'm looking forward to seeing how Chelsea handles the upcoming intervention.
I can't believe that I'm only just discovering this story now. I'm super invested already. Thanks for the great work and I'm looking forward to the next chapter.
Mark's surprise for Jay at the end of the chapter caused a chuckle and the rest of the chapter felt very real. Jay still needs to confront his past and tell someone but it looks like he's making progress.
Thanks for the update. I'm looking forward to the next chapter.
Wow. I'm so happy this posted today. We're seeing the plot move along at a lightning pace now. I'm really excited to see how the politics and battles play out in the future.
I hope The Toad was punished in some way. Hopefully he's dead.
I'm also looking forward to the trip to the Mall. I wonder how Jason's defense mechanisms will effect the interactions between him, Mike, Matt and Mike's friends.
There is a lot of anger and mistrust in Jason right now. I'm looking forward to seeing how his outlook on life changes and how other people are able to get through to him.
I know that this will eventually work out for James, but I feel for him in the moment. He needs an outlet. Maybe track (cross country?) can be that outlet.
It sounds like the coach cares about his students. Hopefully he's the one that picks James up from his hitchhiking.
I don't hunt, but it's a life goal. I hope that my perspective on life and hunting is the same as James'. This was a great chapter. It showed us the depth of the friendship between Sam and James and it showed us how thoughtful and caring James is. Thank you for writing it. This one is my favorite so far.
I'm SO happy that James supported Casey and wants to be in his life. Casey needs all of the friends he can get right now. Hopefully his new foster parents will be able to give him the consistency and boundaries he needs to become successful (and fall in love with James).
The big reveal and the tie in to the title of our story. I hope that Carlin and Alex will be able to work out an alliance with themselves. It's going to be an interesting next couple of chapters.
Man. I'm glad that Casey is getting some help. Hopefully James or someone else can offer to take him in.
I'm guessing that his mom attempted suicide and she's in treatment for a few months. Hopefully things turn out well. I'm interested in seeing where this goes.
There is a lot of drama in intrigue in this small country town. I'm sure it will continue for a while before it gets better.
Why didn't the police get called with the assault on Sammy? Especially now that Tony showed up really injured.
You've hinted about Luca's double agent status before and now we're seeing a bit more of the plot develop. I'm still very interested in seeing where this Alliance goes.
Two updates in one day. You spoiled us this time. I agree with Faxity. There has to be a conspiracy afoot. I hoped for a time lapse from Luca to arrive near the ceremony but I'm glad that he's going to make his way to Alex. Hopefully they can teach him some skills.
Let me say that I'm glad that you decided to give Luca a chance and not kill him off right away. Hopefully he has a (surviving) part to play in Alex's future.
I'm absolutely addicted to this story. It's hard to write this genre but you have it down. Thanks for writing.
