  1. I have to admit, I missed it all myself! But now everything is in place and I'm no longer chasing the next imaginary publishing date I hadn't worked on the story in October and November at all it seems, and a short break and fresh eye on it helped tremendously. And all hell appears to be about to break out? Maybe, sir! Maybe… The guys need to get a grip on their abilities, and fast. Being omnipotent is not enough if the stakes are this high.
  2. I guess we’ll find out, won’t we? 💜
  3. Thanks :3 🫶🏻 Dave is known for having the most out of place commentary at all times.

That "Temporary Hold" hurt a lot, so I am back to posting the remaining 50% of the story 🤓
  7. The break was good, for my own and the story's sake. I will be back to a regular posting schedule now with Chapter Twenty-Six out. 363 days ago, Oregon in the Fall began! 🎉
  8. The old oak trees swayed in the breeze, their leaves whispering ancient secrets as we approached the gathering of druids in our home. As we got closer, the scent of earth and moss filled my nose, mixed with the faint aroma of burning sage and incense. It was both comforting and otherworldly. “Alpha,” Casey said stiffly as we reached the circle of robed figures. He bowed his head to me, the gesture still very unfamiliar. “And, er, Alpha’s Consort.” He stumbled over the words and quickly duck

  10. This seems like a most wonderful tip. I put it on my list. Films like this give me hope. Thanks.

  14. Here‘s an update from your favorite author in jeans! I just made that up… I hope everyone‘s doing fine. All things considered, I am. Exactly one year ago I decided to dust off a story that had been brewing, mostly to see if I could. I always thought being able to write stories is an amazing feat, how great if I managed to do that too? Worst case, no one would read it. But some did, and I‘m eternally grateful for that. It did a lot for me personally. It was a great time. By the end of January, life threw an unexpected curveball when my employer of 17 years went bankrupt. While it wasn‘t entirely surprising, it was still a signifcant shift. It was a matter of time with the end clearly in sight. Now I‘m self-employed with my own company and the best business partner I could think of. By summer of 2024, I had decided to put publishing new chapters on hiatus and I‘m glad I did. This story certainly hasn‘t been abandoned. I have slowly written the „second half“ of Oregon in the Fall, and was able to go back and fine-tune things, something not afforded to me when publishing on the edge. I don‘t regret having done it this way for chapters 1–25, because it meant I could witness people enjoying the story. It‘s my first anyway. But I also don‘t regret the hiatus. I am now using the holiday time to polish a few more things, and may start with a proper posting schedule for the roughly 25 more chapters to come very soon. I have grown a lot as a person in the past year. If I knew then what I know now, OITF would be different. I hope you‘ll see certain characters grow into their full potential, beyond how they appear on the page now and being perceived as the token characters they unfortunately are at the moment. I‘m really excited to show you the rest of the story and if no one‘s going to read it, that‘s certainly fine, too. I‘m enjoying it! You‘ve seen half of the story, and I can‘t wait to show you the other half and rest of Oregon in the Fall soon. Thank you.
  15. Happy Tuesday to everyone. I am pretty much writing in solitude right now… but I'm doing well. Sending hugs from Germany 💜
  16. Thank you for the updates. Every day a little improvement, I’ll take that. Stay safe. (Dementia weekend with dad now—I’m writing a lot but taking my time, life is good I think)

Yes, I am. I thoroughly enjoy seeing people liking the story just as much as I did (AND I READ IT BEFORE!) Excellent work, my friend, as usual.

  20. Hey everyone. Life’s a rollercoaster right now but I’m doing fine. Sending 🫰🏻💙 Sorry for being so quiet and absent.
  21. Thank you, @JohnnyC — I am in fact doing that. The weather has been treating me well and I have a tan—looking frightfully radiant. I have written in the meantime, but many things led me to decide that it’s better to finish the story or at least a significant portion of it before continuing to post. When my long-term employment disintegrated with the bankruptcy at the beginning of the year, I had to build a business, not knowing it that would be fruitful or not. Well… it is. But it’s taken a lot of my free time and creative energy so it’s not easy for me to plan unpaid writing sessions anymore. I’m up to Chapter 34 right now, and I’m feeling good about it. But for the sanity of everyone, and especially myself, I need to hold back. For this apologize.
  22. They just… think heating up meat is odd. Or frying it. But they’d eat it, I guess. The druids however… I love these questions. I don’t even have to think about them, I put my brain in [insert character name here] mode and just answer the questions as they would. 🧡
