Will Schluter is a character in Mark Arbour's, Chronicles of an Academic Predator.
-
Will Schluter on a slow day.......
-
Maybe the guards hadn't been paid for a few months. CB was very cash poor.
-
Gail Schluter. As to LAPD, you underestimate the power and influence of money. And since no one will be pushing for anyother outcome but suicide, LAPD won't care. I doubt Zach has two friends. Lucky Zach has two people who need it to be a suicide for their own reasons. It makes Big & Taylor parties to the conspiracy, although conspiracy to do what, I am not sure. I am sure Mark celebrated New Year's the traditional Missouri way with the Tipping of the Cow at midnight.

More to the point, Maurice Jones-Drew played at Concord De La Salle, then UCLA. You can read the chapters where Zach was at DLS playing ball and watch the game on YouTube. Mark was very true to the actual game events.
-
Mark also used Maurice Jones-Drew as the model for Zach.
-
I doubt Travis is over a buck sixty-five and Zach must be over 200.
-
No the Buck's have a LONG way to go to catch the Cramptom - Schluter clans. How many main Cramptom - Schluter characters in this story are a product of an affair or other illict sex.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Mark. Thanks for the newest installment. Wow, it seems like The Gap Year could go on several more chapters. If Zach knows who did it, I am guessing it is Taylor.

Not sure what "tenterhooks" are, but man are they uncomfortable.

LA County Sheriffs are considered yay-hoos and it has a cop gang problem/
-
Thanks Mark for taking time during this busy season to stay on schedule. I am once again going to take Will to task for being a hypocrite. He demands everyone stay out of his personal business, but pushes his nose into everyone else's and thinks it is his right to know whatever it is he is asking about. I can't see Curtis killing himself. Also, I think the Buck Mansion is in an area where the death would be investigated by the sheriff, not the police. That is a big difference in LA.

Who killed Curtis Buck? - PART II

I voted for Miranda, but I think the lawyer who screwed over Travis (Fellowes) should have been a suspect too. -
I think Travis should go to NYU. He may not be a great student, but kids who went to The Brentwood School don't end their education after high school.
-
To be honest I had no idea the name, but the "Who Shot JR" episode is still legendary in Hollywood. I still see "Who Shot JR" and "I Shot JR" t-shirts in the gym. Only the final episode of MASH was more watched.
-
Thanks Mark for this continuing saga and thanks to your family for letting you indulge your hobby. There are golf and tennis widows, my mother is a surfing widow, but your dear wife may be the only serial series widow As to the story, I think the guard (Steve) should have followed Travis to the Brentwood School, even if he didn't drive him, and then waited at school for Travis to leave to follow him. Will is still immature. "I’m not sure how I contained my temper, but I did, barely." No William, you DID NOT contain your temper. You stormed in a huff ya little bitch. Containing your temper would have been calmly talking to Travis without the drama queen exit.

I wanted to vote Kristin Shepard, but oddly, that was not a choice.
-
As I recall, he bought the house on Maui with family money and Brad wound up approving of the purchase, even if grudgingly so.
-
Which is the point. As a freshman at Harvard he has to live in the dorms. There is no staff in the dorm to do his laundry. Now maybe Will would engage a fluff & fold service in Cambridge.... if he knows they exist. On point #2, Brad should have cut Will off and insisted Stef did too. Will didn't like people trying to run his life (at 13 years old), but he was fine with people paying for his extravagant lifestyle. "He what pays the piper gets to call the tune" is a valuable lesson to learn.
-
Let me help you... ummm, call it Folsom Blues... Brad is the narrator..... Chapter 1, Scene 1 "Slowly I turned, and step by step, inch by inch, I walked up to him, I smashed him, I hit him, I bonked him, I bopped him, I socked him and I mashed his face and I knocked him down." You can take it from there
-
I didn't say I expected it, I said it is what I'd like to see. Sooner or later, real life would slap Will in the face. I've seen it happen rich kids I know. The lucky ones are on probation, the unluckiest ones are dead. The situations with Jeff were realistically played out. They are not with the Golden Child. Even Calvert lost an arm.
-
Will has been out of control, indulged, unconstrained by any adult or law since he was 13. He has had more chances than a mouse in a cheese factory.
-
That is kind of why I want to see Will's freshman year. I want to see Will have to follow rules, norms and conventions. The world not bending to his whims. Having to live in a dorm, getting a roommate he doesn't know, mandated class, dorm meetings, all the rest. Maybe even get busted for underage drinking.
