    Chapter 8

Haha, I think it's a bit like that as a teen. I think you'll want to bang their heads together a few more times yet . . . lol. Cheers for reading!
  2. Chapter 8 I was still out of Chrissy’s view, so I composed myself. Jack had better be nice. “Sure they wouldn’t have started without their drummer,” Jack muttered. There was a sharp click of the door. I stepped into the hall toward them. “Chrissy!” She threw her arms around my neck; her usual way of greeting. Jack shuffled to the side, watching, his expression unreadable. “Lads setting up?” she asked, letting go. I nodded. “Just grabbing my guitar.” “Guitar is so generic. Give it a na

Thanks, that was fun to research and write up!

    Chapter 7

Oh yeah, they're savvy in some ways, and at a complete loss in others.
  5. Chapter 7 “Dinner’s ready!” Jack’s voice trailed through the house from the top of the stairs. I stuffed my wet clothes into the dryer. Usually, I’d chuck them over a clothes horse and wait until they dried, but I needed a selection for later tonight. If only I knew Chrissy’s favorite color . . . “It’s getting cold,” Jack shouted. “It’s always cold for me, anyway,” I mumbled the moment Terry walked by. He chuckled, “Know what it is tonight?” “No idea.” I could only gue
  6. Chapter 6 I lunged to grab Jack as he fell at the same time Terry knocked the muffin from Faye’s lips. Down the hall we heard the sound of the door opening, and Josina’s voice. “They’re imposters and they’re in my house!” Terry grabbed Jack’s other arm and we hauled him out the living room. “Kitchen!” I said. “Back door.” We raced through the back garden, toward a rickety-looking gate, hopefully leading to a street. Faye ran ahead, yanking the gate open to let us through. Behind u

    Chapter 5

Hey Ryan, thanks for reading. The next chapter will be up very soon, in fact, I'll get onto it right now.

    Chapter 5

Haha, yep, two whole weeks. Jeez, I'm glad for dishwashers . . . As for the spiking, that shall be answered soon enough.
  9. Chapter 5 Terry swung the door open and a blast of air greeted us, howling and whipping at our hair. Outside I could only see a swirl of colors. The wind grew stronger, and we bent into it, fighting to keep from toppling over. Faye gripped onto the staircase banister. Jack was thrown back a step, almost bowling me over. I clasped a hand on his arm, making sure neither of us got knocked down. The vigor of the wind died slowly, until I could faintly make out the other side of the street. A r
  10. Chapter 4 I rolled over, chucking a pillow over the back of my head, pressing the cotton covered goose feathers against my ears. What time did he call this? The rattling of the locked door came again. “It’s eight in the morning. Up.” The way Jack said eight sounded as if I’d overslept. I moaned, “Come back in an hour . . . at least.” The receding footsteps made me relax. There was something about a morning bed that was alluring; cozy and snugly, unlike at nights when the sheet

    Chapter 1

Thanks, Sam. Yep, teens thrive on being irritating at times. Oh, doesn't that bring back memories.

    Chapter 3

Thanks, Andy. Yeah, a society powered by dragons . . . I can't remember now how the idea came to me--it was a few years ago, lol. Thanks for reading, hope you enjoy the rest.
  13. Chapter 3 After two hours of Jack running tests at the museum, he concluded whoever stole the jewel did so from within the mineral room—the magic was more concentrated there. To be doubly sure, he asked Sara to identify those who first asked for painkillers. The first three had come from within that room. Tired and hungry, we finally made it back, only for Terry and me to have to go out again for some food. Ketchup wasn’t going to cut it. Terry and I each dragged a bag of shopping up the
  14. Chapter 2 It was definitely dead. The blue and yellow striped fish floated on top of the water, belly up. I pulled my face away from the fish tank and rubbed my steamy breath off the glass. The other fish, partially hidden behind limp green plants, barely moved. “It must be so depressing being a fish in there,” Faye said, coming closer to check them out. “Oh.” She’d seen the dead fish. “Sad.” “Died of boredom, no doubt,” I said. “What with nothing to do all day, every day.” I loo
  15. Chapter 1 Sweet, sweet smoke. I was locked in the bathroom, head quirked out the window at an angle no reasonable person would have attempted. What could I say? I was addicted. I dragged in another puff of the highly toxic, nicotine death stick. Damn it was good. Icy breezes made my hand numb, but I welcomed them. They took care nobody knew about this little . . . habit. A door slammed coming from the adjacent room and I jammed the burning end of my cigarette against a fros
  16. Drake’s addiction to smoking, his band’s first gig, and his ever-growing list of chores, become insignificant when German authorities threaten to tear down his house. To save it, Drake and his roommates travel across the globe and into Drupes—a parallel city of London—to follow clues. While using his wits to solve the mystery and find Red Beryl, he begins to explore his feelings toward his irritating but hot roommate Jack.

    Get It

Sorry, I only just got your message via the review in Get It, LOL. Yes, Shane and Trey are up on Amazon for 99cents now, along with St-st-stuffed. And, (if this is of interest to you) today I just released another novel following Will (who was Karl's ex in St-st-stuffed) and Heath (the guy in 'Get It'). All the best, Anyta
  18. Haha, yeah, it did take him a while. . . . Thanks for reading! Yay! Benny and James make an appearance in my new novel coming out on Amazon in a couple of months. (The love interest in this story (William) is Heath from this one.) So excited. Cheers for reading, Anyta
  19. Hehe. I like all your chapter names. These are new. I love this chapter: it's really engaging, and fraught with tension between Tom/Elijah and Chris/Elijah . . . I can feel the conflicts building here. Very nice.
  20. I voted for the earlier week too, which if I could make it, would be the only weekend possibility--I'm off to Minnesota and Chicago the other weekends.
  21. The end of this chapter makes me melancholic. There is such truth to things changing and moving on, but sometimes it seems the hardest thing in the world. I like that your story makes me reflect on things--my life, it means your words have been very inspiring and emotion tugging. Excellent chapter.

    Elijah

Woo hoo! It's up! I'm so excited, I really love this story, you have such a grip on developing great characters, and reading, I get immersed in your words, the world of Elijah, and I find myself excited and nervous and sad and pleased and upset just as and when Elijah is--this is a mark of good writing. I like the title too. hehe. It works. Garrrh! I'm so insanely pleased that I can read ahead, and feel sorry for all those who have to wait patiently--but believe me, it's totally worth the wait. I'll end off with a cheesy, Neat-o-burrito.
  23. Oh, how lovely! Happy Birthday. Twenty-seven is such a nice number too. Enjoy this year!
  24. LOL--they really can project, huh? It's lovely to hear how well you are all doing--that's wonderful. And you're right to get in now for a pre-school spot. Waiting two years on a list is a pain. But it sounds like the place you looked at was nice. I have to say, though, reading what others have said, the first year for me was the hardest, after that it gets better. I love the toddler age! So Enjoyable--I guess I like to be able to do more stuff, lol. And they say the CUTEST things, hehe. Anyway, she really is adorable, Andy. Good work.
  25. OMG. LOL. I'm SOOOO sorry! No, today is not my birthday. I had my Facebook set wrong!!! BUT, can I say how lovely it is that you did this anyway?
